I thought they stopped at a DQ"Here at CNN we're driving around in the Blizzardmobile. We call it that because we're driving and it's in a blizzard."

Cnn is the absolute blurst
NY City subways closing 11 PM.
So much for the "city that 'never' sleeps," eh?
(no link, radio announcement).
Ain't most of the NYC subway system underground?? And for the parts that are surface or above ground, why don't they have a couple of souped up snowblowers attached to the front of a service vehicle that can remove the snow from the lines??
Tracks are electrified. Do the math.

They thought the snowfall was going to be much deeper than it actually turned out to be.
Southern Maine getting hammered also, York County with close to 2ft of snowI guess the Blizzard of the Century couldn't cover that much land so it just focused on Massachusetts. So for those of you in Flatlander Country, could you modify your snarkiness to make sure it's just the NY/NJ/Philly area you're focusing on? Because we're getting totally slammed here. Hurricane-force winds plus snow and high tides are pretty disastrous. The entire island of Nantucket is without power. A sea wall was destroyed and sea coast areas are flooding. Still showing and lots of powerful wind.
