Winter 2015 - boom or snow job?

Re: Winter 2015 - boom or snow job?

Option A - I-95 -> NJT -> GSP ->I-287/I-87 ->I-87 ->Adirondacks at Warrensburg (rt 9 ->rt 28 -> rt 30 -> rt 3 -> rt 56)
Option B - I-81 ->I-84 -> I-90 -> I-87 -> Adirondacks at Warrensburg

If you go that way, watch out for the cops in Tupper Lake. Rte 30 goes from 55 to 30 and the cops usually love to wait by the 30mph sign.

and if you take the suggestion to go to Albany and then go around from the west, watch out for the speed trap in Schodack. there is almost always a police cruiser camped out there, unless s/he is already ticketing someone.

Why not make him get on the bus instead of driving him? That really grinds kids these days :)

As much as I enjoy ****ing with him when I feel like he's out of touch with reality, I wouldn't make him ride the bus.

I'm always reminded of the scene from 16 Candles when I think of the high school bus. :D

In addition, we live out of district of the school he attends, so there's no bus, therefore the point is mute (as an old boss of mine used to say and I'd think, "How the **** are you the boss?").

The COO of a firm I used to work for did the same, as does the president of my current firm. I'm never sure if they are that stupid, trying to be ironic, or what...:rolleyes: The pres of my current firm also says "suposubly.":rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Where is the face*palm or head*desk smiley?

"Suposubly" always reminds me of this friends segment with Joey...

There were some funny moments on that show. :D

Have a buddy who's phonically challenged and wonders if the abdominal snowman may actually exist. He's got another one too, but I can't think of it right now.

obviously not a nucular physicist!

or one of those over-eager principals who want to confisticate all the bad stuff students bring into school.

Re: Winter 2015 - boom or snow job?

This morning's snow has caused a 50-ish car wreck on I-94 between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. A fireworks truck is on Fire in the middle of all this, and the fireworks are going off.

Re: Winter 2015 - boom or snow job?

I'm all for snowboarding... I love it... Do it as much as I possibly can...

But tonight, I'm supposed to be teaching the 1st week of a 3 week "Intro to Snowboarding" course at my local snow-covered speed bump... It's currently 4*F with wind 15-20mph and gusting to 25+ mph... Not exactly conditions that will work well with people that are already going to be challenged... I mean, it's totally going to make people want to come back and do the sport again when they suffered frost bite their 1st time :mad:

Re: Winter 2015 - boom or snow job?

No snow here.....but it is -3 right now. I'm all for clear skies and cold rather than clouds, drizzle and 40, but enough already! :rolleyes:

I don't think we've seen anything above single digits (and it's been mostly negative temps) for a few days now.

We were in the teens during the afternoon yesterday. The good news is that by Wednesday we're going to see a warm up, with temps in the high 20s and low 30s. It's the annual January thaw week before we get slobber knocked again, assuming past years' trends hold true.

The end of Western Civilization as we know it. Jim Cantore is on the move - destination Boston.

To our posters in NNJ to Maine, stay safe.
