WCHA Playoffs

Re: WCHA Playoffs

I couldn't get the video to play on my desktop with XP but I tried it today on the laptop with Windows7 and it works so I was finally able to watch Coach Idalski's internet press briefing.

Spot on Mr. Idalski.

This guy can coach, he can recruit and he isn't afraid to say what he thinks. North Dakota is definitely on the rise.

Isn't it refreshing to hear a coach speak his mind instead of the usual pre-rehearsed, canned, "don't affend anybody" answers to a interviewer.

Re: WCHA Playoffs

Well, when you're a perennial bottom dweller and nobody pays much attention to what you say, you probably don't feel the same kind of pressure to be as "diplomatic" with your speech as other coaches might feel compelled to be.

Once again, illuminating the irony of UMD fans frequent whining about a lack of respect...or outright disrespect for their program and their coach.

Little premature to label Idalski as a perennial bottom dweller. Perhaps you're unaware of his history as a women's college hockey coach.

Again...spot on coach Idalski and kudos for saying so.

Re: WCHA Playoffs

My point is that a high school program is bumping a D1 hockey team out of their own rink...Do the men ever get booted out of their rink for high school games?
Actually, yes.

Our Men's team will be "booted out" of the Schottenstein Center next weekend, provided we earn home ice for the first round of the CCHA playoffs. The culprit? The popular and profitable state high school wrestling tournament. As a college hockey fan, I don't like it when this happens to anyone's team, Mens' or Womens'. But all we can do is play the hand we're dealt.

Re: WCHA Playoffs

Dont care what Idalski has to say,and i also dont agree with the "bottom dweller" comment, that was a little out of line.......

ALL I CARE ABOUT IS THE RESULTS OF THE UPCOMING GAMES!!!! LETS GO DOGS!!!!

Grim,

You can't argue with fools.

And you can't have an opinion on this forum that is out of line with some the holier-than-thou; sanctimonious; living vicariously through girls who they really have no relationship with; filing a dark void in their soul; trolls that live on this forum.

So, point your energies into the positive flow that is supporting a decade of excellence.

Re: WCHA Playoffs

Yes. She's not at her sharpest, but the Gopher team D is very porous. They don't seem to realize that this is the postseason.

Possibly having some difficulty coming down off the Bronze Medal high? Less than 24 hours after a life altering experience in front of a good chunk of the passengers on Spaceship Earth, she's travelled halfway across the continent, hit the dressing room and is supposed to resume a "life is back to normal" attitude. It's too bad she and others lose the experience of the "Closing Ceremonies" which would in effect put proper/formal mental/emotional closure on the Games as the Event for them.

At the same time they're getting paid (scholarships) to play, so the business side of it is also understandable. I just think it's unfortunate.
