Re: WCHA First Round: MN @ UND

But Marvin's hit on Blake Geoffrion wasn't called a penalty and he got 3 games! OH NOES!!!!

Marvin seems to be making concussing players a habit. Thats a make up call for Genoway. EVen Bruce McLeod, who has the sensibiltiy of an orange, knew he ****ed up on that one. Plus, put away the school loyalties for a second, and I think we can all agree as hockey fans that Marvin's hit on Genoway was one of the dirtiest in college hockey history.

It was bad, but as for my experience, the Paukovich event was the dirtiest.

It was cheap. I agree. But suspending Marvin retroactively for the hit on Geoffrion is ridiculous. Last I checked Colin Campbell isn't the moron in charge of discipline around here. And ask Matt Cooke about consistency in discipline.

Considering the rumors I heard, be thankful that Marvin was only gone for 3 games.

And they had time, given SCSU's bye week. Do you even research this stuff?

Re: WCHA First Round: MN @ UND

Nice to see Dude Love turn this thread in the direction of another Marvin thread. Now maybe other SCSU fans can come in here and tell us all to get over Marvin.:p

Man arrested in death of woman found near creek
Phone records prompt Greenfield mayor to seek resignations
A 23-year-old man was arrested Sunday in connection with the death of a 19-year-old woman whose body was found near a creek, the Brooklyn Center Police Department reported.

The initial report came in to Minneapolis police suggesting a suicidal female, but the case soon became a homicide investigation.

The call came in about 3:30 a.m. from the 5200 block of Vincent Avenue N.

Police said the suspect took officers to a bridge over a small creek in the 5300 block of Russell Avenue N., where they found the body.

I'm not sure how any of that has anything to do with my post. The hit on Genoway was cheap. Suspend him. That incident is over. Then giving him three more for the hit on Geoffrion that even BLAKE didn't think was dirty has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

I'm getting it out of the way for when we play you mouth-breathers on Saturday. :p

Well, I thought Blood deserved a penalty for running Kangas, but that wasn't the case either.

It was a cheap shot, Marvin now has a rep, so a suspension was appropriate. So quit yer whinin' and go be a tool in some other thread. You only have 2-3 games left before your season's done anyway.

The most painful part of that hit probably having to listen to Wooger's whining.

In the replay I thought it was kind of odd that Wehr moved around some after the hit then laid motionless for a while. Was he injured or just sort of playing possum to try to draw more penalty minutes?

Marvin better watch his back! Matt Mother *ing Frattin is going to check him into the Club Section!!! He disembowels old ladies, you know.

He left the game, went to the locker room, and never came back. I'm assuming a big concussion, but no details as of the end of the game.

And Wooger was correct in his calling for Frattin's head. However, Frank kept it up, and Wooger let it go after a bit (although Wooger leaned a bit towards being a homer for the rest of the game, unlike up until that hit).

Classic.

Re: WCHA First Round: MN @ UND

1. There's at least 3. Two at the Final Five and at least (haha) one in the NCAAs.

2. That's three more than the Gophers have.

I wouldn't count on two, unless you really wanna count the 3rd place game, which no one cares about.

And we had low hopes going into this series; so be it.
