Re: WCHA First Round: MN @ UND
Considering the order probably came from Eades or Hackstol themselves, I'll probably ascend into heaven before that ever happens.
With all due respect, this is the dumbest thing you've ever posted. Just because the Sioux play physical doesn't mean the coaches send players out to hurt someone.
If Fattin is suspended it will be the biggest travesty in the history of college hockey, especailly after what's gone basically unpunished this year. It was a bad hit hit, he left his feet, got 5, maybe could have gotten the boot for the game, but a suspension? I don't think so.
How did I know you'd make an idiotic post like this? He'll get one game. The league will take a look at this and determine if contact to the head was made (as Brent said, even after multiple replays we still weren't sure). While the picture posted here it looks like he didn't, I don't think that's a good angle. The best angle IMO was the replay FSN kept showing, zoomed in on the hit.
5 min major, game misconduct or DQ would have been the correct call.
I'd take Brent in that one. MNS went to private school and an evil bad one at that.
Please, I tossed his scrawny *** off his own balcony.
Here's the kicker about intent to injure. Almost everytime you hit a guy, you're trying to injure him.
No, you're not. You want to hit them hard, knock them down, take them out of the play.
I also like the hick no dak fans who cheered the wehrs injury.... Very classy, wouldn't expect anything else I guess.... Anyone else see the 70 yr old guy in the first row cheering as wehrs laid motion-less? U know u beat his wife for years.
Didn't notice it. I'd imagine they were cheering the scrum, and didn't realize how seriously Wehrs was injured. I like how you didn't mention the applause when Wehrs got up and was being helped off the ice.
Wow Gopher fans have got to be real impressed with the representation you get from this RinkPig guy. Hey Piggy, go have another one and drive home.
No, they don't acknowledge him has part of their fanbase, much like we don't acknowledge you as part of ours.
If he doesn't leave his feet I don't have a problem with the hit. When guys jump it surely is an intent to injury.
This is a point where Brent and I disagreed. Strangely enough, I thought he still would have gotten a possible boarding call, while Brent was saying it would have been clean.
It was a marginal push at best. If Blood didn't raise his arm at the end, I'd have had no prob with it (and will say that Kangas was a moron to hit him, but I understand why he hit him).
As I mentioned when I was there, Blood raising the arm was an attempt to keep his balance, possibly reach out for the crossbar to stay on his feet.
So Marvin made a bad decision and isn't a headhunter???? BLASPHEMY!!!!
DL, Sioux fans, Gopher fans, anyone else's fans who feel the need to weigh in on the Frattin hit. Let's not bring up the Marvin hit. Frattin's isn't really on the same level as Marvin's other then being cheap, classless, dirty (yes, I'll say intent to injure), and suspendable.
Frattin didn't have a reputation as a dirty player before the hit (nor did Marvin in my opinion), but now he does.
