Wcha 24 25

Shocking results from yesterday. UW gets out shot 33 22 by a 3 line opponent but pulls off the win. UMTC easily beats UMD on the road shocking their fans, Tommies get beat by BSU and MSM beats St. Cloud on the road.

Sinners win even when they aren't at their best...They can't be beat this year.

Wait... the tunnelers still have fans? That's shocking.

Lumberjills looked pretty good...Tommies? Not so much. Mansucko didn't sucko.

I was wrong...The sinners can be beat. The 2012/2013 tunnelers thank slOwSU for that.

Tommy bahamas...That is quite a hangover you have going.

Who would have bet on the lumberjills and tunnelers sweeping?

Hey! all 15 of us showed up to Duluth today. I even went to UMD's final football game earlier vs. Mankato.

Huge disappointment for the Woofers, they damn near tied it for OT. Thankfully they didn't, I had an order at Northern Waters to pick-up before coming home. Also we needed all 6 points. Cherry on top: listening to Wisconsin lose a football game on the drive home.

this...did not escape anyone's attention today. Golden Gopher Secret Agent Nadine, we thank you.

Nicole Haase on the Victory Press(everyone's choice I hope for women's hockey news) gives a shoutout to the Beavers for the surprising offense they have shown this year. I don't think the previous coach was happy about being replaced, but the new look of the Beavers could foretell changes in the lower half of the WCHA.

I posted somewhere on the board that I was impressed with how they carried themselves on the bench when they were in Madison. Beginning to end, in each game while being shut out twice, they were smiling and laughing and they were enjoying the game as a game and not a high stakes job. It was rather refreshing. Usually teams start out like that and then as they are pulverized they lose the joy and energy of the game. Not BSU.

Thanks for the reminder to re-follow Nicole, I drop her during the offseason.

That's surprising. My impression was that Scanlan was tired and chose to resign.

This week....broom city

BSU at UMD - UMD
TOT at MSU - Roll Muzzy. Get the resume updated girl.
St. Cloud HnH MTC - St. Cloud is not what they were last year. Tunnelers are uber buoyed by last weekend.
Tommiettes at WI - It will be interesting sitting behind and watching the Tommy's bench this weekend.

The Huskies were a tale of two halves last year (good in the first, less so in the second). It seems like they have been somewhere in the middle this time.

I'm a Beaver Believer. UMD shouldn't look past this game nor should anyone else. I think they'll at least tie one of their games this weekend.

St. Thomas played the number 1 team tonight, losing 6 - 1. The last 10 minutes they were battling all the way for another score. Lots of spunk considering the off-ice drama there. Kudos to the team for getting on with business. Interesting to see what is left in the tank for Saturday afternoon.

Landcows...You had that other team beat in OT. Nicely executed 2 on 1 and all your player had to do was put the puck into a wide open net. Alas, you did the mansucko thing and flubbed it up. And of course the yuckeyes turned right around and scored. But hey, i guess you could go with the moral victory that you took 1 point from that other team.

Such nice patience from Joy Dunne on the winner. Neither team could score on a 2 on 1 pass across the slot, OSU flubbed some too, so she just decided to walk through two players and deke the goalie herself.

You are correct, that was impressive by Dunne to win it. I give Minnesota State some sarcastic grief because they hung in there all game and made a great play to tie the game late to send it to overtime and really had an excellent opportunity to take standings points from one of the top teams in the country They also had that same chance to get a couple of points against the tunnelers earlier this year as well, after playing pretty poorly against the tunnelers the previous night.

Certainly a better day for the bottom of the WCHA. Hats off to #24 for Minnesota State who redeemed herself from the miss in overtime last night and helped the landcows win against that other team today. Also great game by SCSU today with the win against the tunnelers. And as I write this the tommy bahamas are trailing the sinners 3-2 early in the 3rd period.

I believe the Beavers have the best logo in the WCHA. There was a whole series of articles on the new PWHL uniforms. What about WCHA or NCAA logos?
Anyone have thoughts about your favorite team logo?

besides Retro Skating Goldy, Beavers all the way. Plain Wisconsin W? meh. Regular OSU logo? boring.
