Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

: You keep a file listing the mileage as driven in your car from your house and your workplace to every D3 rink you've been to for future reference.

: Then, when you have no more to add, you start taking different routes and record those distances.

DIII fan or this?:p ;)

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

: It's Friday/Saturday night and you're running 3 livestats, two video feeds, one audio feed(alternating between the three) and listening to a game on over the air radio.

: You find it extremely convenient that some teams start their games at 7:30, because that means your night has no intermissions.

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

You get wound up trying to track a game between Manhattanville and LVC, because you decided to pick the Sat Night game instead of the Friday game in the LPS, and you start gulping to see it tied after 1.

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

: You're in your college dorm room, and have been watching and listening to web feeds since 5pm ET.

: You tell your friend to whom you're talking to on skype to shut up because Ducky just screamed score, and you have to find out who got the goal and assist.

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

: You're driving back at 2am from seeing your team in Lebanon Valley of all places, you've been on the road for 4 hours already out of a 6 hour trip, and your bus breaks down in the back-roads of Pennsylvania in the middle of the highway in the middle of a snowstorm...and it feels normal

: You can't return home from Potsdam/Plattsburgh (pick one) because all roads within 100 miles are closed due to a blinding snowstorm...and it's OK because your team finally won both games on the trip north for the first time in years :D

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

i can have a drink with the head coach, radio personality, and the teams top 3 point scorers all in the same night.

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

:You go to Arizona for a week and feel like you've lost touch with the college hockey world as well as go through USCHO withdrawl.

For the first time in probably 10 years I couldnt tell you who in the top 15 won and lost and who they played this past weekend.:(

Time to catch up...

Re: Ways To Know You're a Division III Fan...

You've driven from the coast of Oregon to Lake Placid to see your team play in the Frozen Four. This is all while you only stop as long as it takes fill the car with gas. Also calling people to figure out where you are vs how long it should take you to get there because you don't have a GPS.

Well, guess I'll just go ahead and add those two to my list of people who need beatings.

You read a professional article about analysis of data in a biological study, and observe that one of the authors is from University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. Immediately you think of the "Rowdy Crowd" and forget about how the data was analyzed.

Your level of obsession with the Rubertos cracks me up. They are like your Bickley. Lake Forest now has the Rubino brothers...always make me think of the Rubertos.
