I watched the game from home and didn't make the trip. What's up with your jackets? Goaltending, locker room problems? What's your take?

They should, or better NEED to give him a shot. God knows he ought to do better than the two knuckleheads Staubs keeps throwing out there. Makes one wonder what he might of done wrong to never see the ice when Rossett gets to look horrible out there every weekend. Dahlbach too.

If Dan would just give him a shot, he could see if he might be someone they could use next season. If not, I hope Staubs goes out and get at least 1 if not 2 good goalies. Oh well, seeing as we will get the two headed dibocal out there again this weekend, we might as well give Norberts the brooms to celebrate the sweep they'll have over the Jackets.

I agree with Jacket Fan 2002, Coach Stauber is the problem. The program is in a nose dive. I think Iranger has it all wrong. Derek Stauber is not in any way a liablility. He is a very good defenseman for his young age and coming directly out of high school. His shots are almost always on net as well. I do not think he takes shots just to shoot, but when he does, he hits something other than the glass behind the net. Derek's uncle has to go. And as far as I am concerned, take Nelson with him. He is an arrogant a-hole.

I have been to all home games this year. I see very few guys playing with any sense of passion. Desmet would rather cheap shot someone and sit in the box for 2 minutes than skate hard for 30 seconds. Chris Wilson seems to play hard and recently so has Berlando. Fletcher started out on fire, but recently has hit the wall. I do see a number of good freshman out there also. We really need some goalie help. From what I hear the players saying, the program is headed in the wrong direction. Too bad. I think the fans see it too, less than 600 on Saturday last weekend!

The coach is an a** clown.

O'hara has done nothing wrong. Before the season he broke his jaw, took a puck to the face during tryouts. I see O'hara getting some time in the net soon...hopefully. The only time he has seen has been 2 years ago against the U-18 team ( I believe). You are right Rosett is not the answer, I haven't liked him since he came to the team and he is not very good at all. The problem is everyone of the goalies we have are backups, not starters (yes, I know Dalbec was a starter at Crookston). This was Stauber's decision and my biggest complaint last season. Noone was brought in and nobody saw any ice time last year besides Chad. Yes, he was great between the pipes, but playing him against Northland, Finlandia, and St. Marys? Really?!

But it is what it is. I know everyone is blaming this on the goalies...it is so much deeper than that. This starts at the top and works its way out. The program is in a very vulnerable state right now and something needs to be done and done fast. UWS still is an ok team, they are 6-0-1 non conference, but my prediction is that they will win 2, maybe 3 more games and be playing at MARS the first round of the playoffs.

Stauber needs to start coaching. He keeps changing lines, playing people who have no business on the ice that much. He finally moved Junkermier back to defense, but playing Lundquist as much as he does and Wiest not playing? You can't tell me they couldn't use a 6'4 225 pound body in the corners! The players are going to have to take it upon themselves and do a gut check this weekend. At some point, you must take some pride in yourselves as athletes and just go out there and play.

Haven't been in the basement of their conference at mid-season since 1984 and haven't been on a losing streak like the one their on since 1993. :confused:

As a SNC fan, we always look forward to the Superior series, Friday game was close, but then there was Saturday...........my understanding is the bench minor was handed out for dropping too many F bombs; not that our players are angels, but you can see the yellow jackets are a team in frustration.........we'll make the trip north to catch the Scholastica/Superior weekend, at this point I'm guessing the better game will be Friday 2-5 at Mars.........

really? is 'bench minor - dropping f bombs' in the rule book?

coaches talk to refs all game long, every game. every so often the two don't agree and if the ref doesn't like where the conversation is headed, he may give the coach a bench minor. f bombs, a bombs, hydrogen bombs... doesn't matter.

"handful of jackets" is about right, there are only 3-4 that actually seem to give 2 ****s about playing with some level of pride.
