Utica University 2024-25 - Retooled and Reloaded

This has been better entertainment than what was on TV all day, but the class A regional between Glens Falls HS and Beekmantown is on NFHS in 45 minutes. Keep up the show all.

Again, that's the definition, Mr. Illiterate.

I won't be going as a fan. I'll be going as your worse enemy -- a journalist.
I'm just saying, a real journalist would know the difference between "Worse Enemy" and "Worst Enemy" Russy

And the NCAA is falling off if they're giving media credentials to guy in the stands with 177 followers 🤷‍♂️

Interesting. While hard to believe, you appear to be trying to steal the title of "biggest blow-hard" from the esteemed Mr. Fishsticks . Most of us would see that as a "race to the bottom"...but best of luck to you two clowns as you fight it out.

To the rest of the (seemingly sane) Utica fan base.....best of luck to your boys. It is not "Utica against the world"....you guys just happen to have a few D-Bags that tarnish your teams' reputation.

Y'all hear something? 😴

So it's settled then fish vs nubby as the main card with Russ and pioneer as the lower card Utica aud parking lot 5pm next Saturday be there of be square. Losers get thrown in the nearby Erie canal
Ha!! ..if only we could see that play out.

My prediction is Fishsticks would show up and then refuse to fight for some obscure excuse...and then try to convince everyone that he cancelled for some reason other than him being a complete coward.

Pioneer would, of course, show up in skinny jeans and get knocked out in one punch by a guy (Russ) who has actually gone out to fight in the parking lot before.

:LOL::LOL:

Nope, cuz many of us have national championship rings stuck in our ears. :p:p

(If you don't get that joke, you're not a true hockey fan).

Keep trollin' buddy.
You know what's crazy, I don't even know if this is really a flex, because y'all pretty much only post in this thread so I don't know who you're actually a fan of

Do you want to tell us your fandom so we can determine your relevancy the last decade?

We've had a little taste of the golden years of this forum lately in this thread!

Brings back some fond memories where this used to be the place to find all the scores every night as well as hear first-hand accounts of games or the latest gossip.

facebook, twitter, live stats and live streaming really made this place a dinosaur, so it's cool to see a taste of the old days in here! :)

And with that kind of spirit, let's really go old school. Put the championship weekend in The Cooler!

I was there last year for the NU game. The arena was just fine, sight lines are way better, and possibly warmer temp, than Hamilton for instance. Also better than Kingswood Oxford rink.
I don’t have any idea of the locker room numbers though.

I used to think it wouldn’t get any worse than Kashmunnie.
Fish
proved me wrong……..

They have three locker rooms in the rink -- Hobart, William Smith (which will be used for this tournament), visitor. There is another locker room off of the bathrooms (it used to be the visitor locker room before they built one in the rink). I believe it's pretty small, but that's all they got.

The concession stand absolutely sucks. I can't emphasize how horrible it is. But they have brought in food trucks before for big games.

The lobby area is small. And we all know the bathrooms, even when working, are tiny. The men's room has just two stalls and one urinal with two sinks.

The press box is actually one of the best around, huge and great sight lines.

The problem is going to be the extra stuff you need to put on a tournament such as this. The William Smith locker room is used for press conferences, but they can't do that with four teams involved (I say put it out in the lobby and let the public attend). There has to be a room for food for the press, NCAA officials, etc. There usually is also a (sometimes separate) working area for the same folks. I just don't see how they can pull this off without any room for this extra stuff which is mandatory for an NCAA championship event. (I supposed food could put in the press box, it is fairly deep. Middlebury did that before.)

I actually wonder if they are considering putting up one of those large outdoor tents in the nearby parking lot with a lot of the industrial size heaters, in order to create the space for press conferences, food room, and working area. It is a thought...

(Of course, this is all moot if Utica makes it, no matter the seedings.)
