I wouldn't call it "unbelievable". They want a fair game, and that means as neutral an atmosphere as possible.
Without beer sales, will they come - a moment of truth is coming? And I agree, the AUD has to remove or cover up all the advertising that is work
Ray Clay could never PA announce an NCAA tournament game..in any sport...just not possible...There was a big kerfluffle several years ago about the (then) NU PA announcer's conduct. They monitor all that
If you go to an NCAA D-I regional or Frozen Four, all the dasher ads are covered by NCAA approved logos and signage. It's sticky'd over the real stuff, so it comes right off once the NCAA is done with the building.
So as not to offend the countless NCAA corporate sponsors either. Also, your home announcer is not allowed to show any different inflection on announcing home/visiting line-ups or announcing goals. Any sound effects played for the home team's goals must be played for the visitor's goals as well. They are trying to create as sterile environment as possible.
I decided to try "Ticketmaster" instead of driving half an hour and waiting in line. I got good seats and the tickets were emailed to me. Looks just like the regular ticket and has the "barcode" on each which is the main recognizable feature for validity. Three tickets were $40.15 so more expensive but I saved on gas, much waiting and time.
No waiting today. Got to the Aud at 9:45 this morning doors were already open and was able to get my season ticket seats.

I was able to go online also and purchase two tickets for our season ticket seats. Only cost me $6 per ticket for a total of $12. Just in case I get snowed in I can watch the streamed game free of charge. Go Norwich.I decided to try "Ticketmaster" instead of driving half an hour and waiting in line. Glad to hear it... The Warden waited in a long line on Monday and had to settle for seats a bit North of our season seats while nearly succumbing to hypothermia in the process.
FWIW, there seems to be a way to defeat TM's usual strategy of foisting seats upon you... A friend at work says that she called TM, repeatedly rejected the 'bot's offers of nosebleed seats, and was finally allowed the option of speaking to an actual person, who sold her the exact seats she wanted. It cost her 25 irreplaceable minutes of her life and the BS surcharge, of course, but at least she was able to do it from the comfort of her home.
(Is TicketBastard the worst company in America to deal with, or does that honor still go to Verizon..? Tough call.)
Maybe it is the warming weather, the approaching trout season, "or whatever", but your posts are improving
Verizon Wireless is still the worst company in America to deal with, with TicketBastard a close second - both make oil & drug companies look philanthropic.
