EC's website says Saturday at 830pm but I don't know if this is official?

High School Games were pushed back. Game times are now 9:30, 12:00, 2:30 and 5:00.

So it starts at 8:30 (assuming none of the HS games is extended) AND Daylight Saving time goes into effect Saturday night.

Actually called The Aud today, and the (official) start-time is 8:30 on Saturday. The ticket situation is exactly as it was last week, with ST holders getting first dibs on their usual seats if they show up by/during the Thursday box office hours. (Think they close at 4 on Thursday, but are open 'til 8 on Wednesday.)

I don't see any W team within a mile of an NCAA bid this year no matter what happens on Saturday, and there's no doubt in my mind that the players realize it... I do expect to see a great hockey game, just the same. These two teams dislike each other rather intensely.

Unfortunately for the ECAC West this year, the selection committee may be watching this game while they are making their decisions... or even after the decisions are made.

I definitely agree; there has been an amazing degree of parity in Eastern D-3 this year, and the W hasn't distinguished itself in that context. No real reason exists for the selections to be delayed re: the result of UC/EC.

Along that same line, I'm curious to see if the SUNYAC will get any bid aside from their AQ... I'm guessing that their conference will send only that one team.

Weird season, but there is some hardware available to take home, anyway.

I think the chances of SUNYAC getting 3 bids is slim to none. I think if Oswego wins, Genny gets a Pool C and Platty stays home. If Genny wins, I think Platty could get the Pool C and Oswego stays home.

They did the same thing last year, remember? I expect to see it again Saturday to better their chances

I agree with that. However I don't agree that SUNYAC will have only one team in. You could make an argument for all three, but yes, two is more likely. As a Plattsburgh fan, I would feel like we stole one if we go ahead of the Lakers. But that remorse wouldn't last too long !!

(I don't root against any team just by dint of arguing with a dumb poster or two, but there's just not enough objective evidence available to grant the SUNYAC any more than the one single AQ that that conference is awarded.)

If I was picking the field today, I'd have Trinity alone representing the East right now, and have the other 10 teams coming from the West.

That game will be a 60-minute war, IMO... It's a late start, but it'll be worth the watch, and it's looking like a toss-up to me right now.

(Just as an aside, I've not seen this many competent D-3 teams in any given season ever before, prior to the current season ... Even Salve could play a bit!)

Maybe that was simply just an anomaly, but this year has been very entertaining. There have been a ton of tense games to endure at The Aud, and Elmira looks to provide yet another one.

I hope that the fans show-up to see the Seniors, 'cause it's going to be a while before UC has that many grown-men on its roster again.

I don't understand why Trinity is getting so much love in the rankings. There are at least 21 teams in the East with better SOS (leaving the West out of the discussions since there is such a disparity in SOS "rankings" between East and West). Sure they have a strong Win/Loss % but who did they play?

Yes the stats are the stats looking at the top 10 in the west, are you telling me you'd put in Augsburg 13-9-3 with wins over such powerhouses as Hamline(2-22-1) X2, Bethel(3-20-2) X2, Northland(4-21-0) X2, MSOE(7-19-1) UW-Stout(8-18-0) St. Mary's(10-14-1)X2. in fact they only have 4 wins against teams with winning records, so you'd put them in above Geneseo? your precious KRACH has them above Plattsburgh, Geneseo, Norwich, Babson, Oswego. I'd bet that any one of those teams would beat them at least 4/5 times in a series

Trinity can only play who is on their schedule, thats the way it is........that said..........time will tell,but in these 1 and done games 1 bad bounce/call etc and ya never know??
