Let's make a little wager then Piper. If Plattsburgh does NOT make the NCAA Tourney, I will excuse myself from the boards for a period of one year. But if they DO make it, you'll do the same. Come on, put your money where your mouth is !!

PSU is 15th in the KRACH, is behind Trinity in the East, and has the 34th SOS ranking, nationally... Why in the world would any rational person award them an AL bid over the 12 Western teams that are all statistically better?

I bear no ill-will against Platty; that's a great program and it's not on them that Chumps is a drunken idiot... But if the Cards don't win the SUNYAC tournament they can't get in via any rational metric.

What is it with you? Why is it when you're wrong about something, you not only DON'T admit that you were wrong, but you argue with everyone about why you were right? You said that Adrian was the ONLY west team to play in the east. YOU. WERE. WRONG. But instead of saying "Oh yeah, you're right. I was wrong"...you give all of these excuses about how Adrian is the only RELEVANT west team to play in the east and that none of the others matter.

Why is it that you come here to tell everyone the sky is green. And when everyone corrects you to say that the sky is BLUE, you argue nonstop that the sky is green?

You were wrong. Get over it and move on. :rolleyes:

Piper strikes again !!! In keeping with your usual routine, I noticed you took a shot at WI-Superior, calling them irrelevant. A little research shows WI-Superior has made TWELVE NCAA Appearances and won a National Championship !!! Bet you wish your beloved Pioneers were that irrelevant !!! You are too much !!

He has no idea how the tournament is even selected. We tried showing him how several times and we are always wrong. Says a lot about that type of person.

noticed the Pios have 5 commits already for next yr and that samuels- Thomas as well who didnt play this yr, not bad

As you're the donkey citing KRACH and sos numbers that are inaccurate, maybe we could back this up a bit until you decide to pony up some relevant facts of your own.

Pleasantly surprised by UC's regional ranking: (I would say I even think they have a shot at the tourney if we see some late season losses for Babson, Genny, and Williams - Pios still need to win out and a lot of help but I am a little more optimistic then I was last week)

UC's ECAC-W semi-final home playoff game will be played on Sun. Mar 2, Time TBD.

Seems to me if UC wins the next four games and finishes 18-5-4 they would have a decent shot to get in. We'll see.

The combination of 5 losses and 4 ties sealed Utica's fate quite some time ago. The fact that they have (nor will have) any games against ranked opponents is the cherry on top. Unless of course Oswego gets ranked, then they will be 0-1-1.

I must say that I am surprised that team never got any traction this year. Especially in a down year for their conference. Tying Hamilton & Brockport and losing to Morrisville are inexcusable for a championship caliber team. I don't know what the problem was there this year, there seemed to be enough talent. Coaching?

While both of those statements are true, comparing Adrian's SOS from that year to Utica's isn't fair. Not saying that Utica's SOS is very strong, but its not nearly as terrible as Adrian's that year. That being said, I still think Utica has little chance of getting in.

It ain't over till it's over. The "smoke filled room" has done many peculiar things over the years. Some of them unfathomable, you guys know that. Everyone here talks like they are the committee, this can't happen, that has to happen. Nobody here knows anything, and, you're probably right, but, look at UC in the first poll. Who even thought UC would be ranked, and Oz not :confused: Anything is possible.

But Oz ain't going anywhere either unless they run the table. And a lot of us do know what we're talking about. Some don't.

Seems like injuries and the goalie sucking the first half of the season are the culprit.
