That's complete BS, Norm... You don't "like" Utica; what you do on here is to look for (convenient and cowardly) opportunities to jab at UC when they lose. It's as simple as that.

Tell ya what: why don't you admit to what team you follow, and then we can can all visit that thread to post the box-score when it loses.

Really weak stuff from you, as per usual.

I don't presume to "represent" Utica hockey in any way, shape, or form... I'm merely an avid fan since Day One, and yes, I have my opinions as a result of seeing every home game and a fair number or away contests.

Give me a little credit for sticking to commenting on what I have actually witnessed. I offer no uninformed opinions, nor lame pun-links, nor any comments whatsoever on any other team threads, unlike many others on here who apparently have no better use for their time than to opportunistically swing in here when they smell a chance to mock Utica.

Along those lines, if you have anything of substance to offer regarding some first-hand knowledge of this season's UC team, I'm all ears...

I dont know why you don't get it. No one cones in here to mock a Utica loss. They come in here to mock you. Please, for your sake accept that.

Fish, there are "avid fans" - I consider myself an avid Plattsburgh State Cardinal fan, then there are illogical bully fans. I applaud you sticking with your team -as all fans should - but no fan should attempt to distort reality - it is one thing to accentuate the positive another to twist it into something it isn't. The ECAC-West has proven to be among the perennial NCAA playoff conferences and true, without the benefit of an autobid. The ECAC-West is a good conference, better than many, but not overwhelming superior to most. Utica has improved but also has benefited from RIT leaving and Elmira's recent issues, but Fishy they are not despite your best efforts sacrosanct. Avid fans love and stick with their teams - but they know it is their teams responsibility to find a way to win and their teams responsibility to overcome adversity. Avid fans recognize reality, they don't look for excuses with the system in how it relates to them, but in how it effects the sport. Avid fans boast when warranted but appreciate their opponents pros and cons. They don't stand on a soap box proclaiming a world though colored glasses. Fishy you need to appreciate it when fans of other teams find your team noteworthy - for good or bad - to post on "YOUR thread" instead you come across as being holier-than-thou, which in turns invites ridicule. If you don't get it, well, at least you give me fuel :p

Your wasting your time Norm. It's called "no sense of humor" and Fish has a teminal case. You on the other hand have plenty, and for that I'm thankful. I need a few laughs during my work day and the ammo just keeps coming for you to provide it. I sometimes wonder if Fish is really you having a conversation with yourself. Wouldn't that be great!

Where to begin..?

No Utica fan, least of all me me, has assessed the '13/'14 W as anything other than a mediocre conference. (Last season -and most of the recent ones previous to it- were a different story, though.)

It's patently ridiculous to "boast" about a bunch of kids who happen to attend the school that you once did, as if you have anything at all to do with their success on the ice. Tangentially, it's even more ridiculous to take your vicarious sense of accomplishment elsewhere, as in showing-up here to say nyah-nyah-nyah when UC is stumbling, then to take the trouble to post a box-score of the Morrisville game.... (Was anyone so juvenile and passive-aggressive as to post a box of the Platty-Geneseo game on the Plattsburgh thread Friday night, for instance?)

I'm guessing not, but I won't take the time to check... You, too, should consider cultivating some manners.

Fishy, you are showing your lack of observation skills, for me posting a link is less trouble than you figuring out how to bold "me". And you also fail to realize the importance I (fans) have to the success on the players on the ice - in fact, the school I once attended retired "my" number - quoting former Plattsburgh State assistant coach Steve Moffat. "The fans here have won a lot of games for us in the past." Fishy, I guess you still don't get the point, as usual....

Since this seems to be the most active thread at this time, I will ask here....What is it with all the advertising threads for free movies on line? Anyway to stop this stuff? Who are these people and can their account be cancelled by the moderator?

I've reported as many as I can as spam, and I've sent an email off to the admins of the board. I've heard nothing.

Not that it is not enjoyable to watch people bust the fish's balls this weekend seems to be make of break for UC. With the Nueman in town for a pair at the Aud a sweep could at least get UC into position to lead the West if Naz can pull off another big win when they play Elmira this weekend. I have not been able to make it back to Utica for a game this year so what do those who have been able to catch a few think the chances of UC starting a good end of year run hear this weekend.
