I hate to break up this spirited debate but I wanted to remind everyone that the Utica broadcast with Ray and myself can be heard tonight at http://mixlr.com/wpnr907/

Tomorrow we will be back on the airwaves at the regular link.

Haha!^ I will broadcast for whomever chooses to use my services. At the moment, Ray has been the only one to let me grace his broadcasts (and it will have only been 3 games after tomorrow)... if you listen tonight, you'll probably hear a completely neutral call from me. (I won't speak for Ray!)

Tried to listen last night, but Hobart's audio feed wasn't up... Tonight, I had so much traffic in my office that I was forced to go with the "live-stats" option. (They didn't seem to be all that "live", but whatever...)

FWIW, I like listening to Ray; he calls a good game with no discernible homerism, and he keeps-up with the action very well. I'm confident that he'll be getting paid to do just that somewhere soon.

Anyway, great come-from-behind for UC today. I consider Hobart to be as good or better than Utica, so tying the Statesmen in terms of the H2H record could turn out to be very big down the road.

(And it was lovely to see UC stick it up HC's servants'-entrance at the the last minute for a change; those ******** had it coming!)

What a weekend !! Wish they played in Utica again. Maybe the playoffs.

Thanks to Ray and WPNR for letting me join the broadcasts this weekend, and thanks to the Pioneers and Statesmen for some great hockey!

Huge in-conference weekend for UC , especially considering that the early OOC data isn't favorable for the W as a whole.

Did you -or anybody else on here- actually endure The Cooler from the seats? I wonder if it's still the same dump as ever...

(Hobart somehow maintains a great D-3 program while playing there; I just can't figure-out how they do it.)

I gues the D3 pollsters don't like UC or Hoart lol. UC dropped one and Hobart dropped out of the poll after a tie and OT loss to UC. What a joke.

Utica, dropping one spot to 8 or staying at 7, a toss-up. But Hobart has a record of 2-2-4 (.500) with 1 win, 2 losses and a tie (.400) to the only ranked teams they have played! I have to agree with them dropping out at this time. I am sure they will be back!

I think it's too early to worry about position in the polls. If UC keeps beating the teams they're supposed to beat it'll all take care of itself.
At least that's what I keep telling myself... :D

For the millionth time....you should NEVER worry about a poll....NCAA bids have ZERO to do with polls....

A one point weekend will get you booted in the rear every time......regardless if it's an OT loss or who it was to.

God knows I hate to agree with you, Champs, but you are exactly right... The selection committee doesn't seem to give the USCHO poll the time of day, and why should it..?

For example, how many times do you see this absurd scenario unfold: the coaches vote Team A over Team B during one week, then Team A beats Team B the following week, and Team B drops like a stone as a result..? (Hmmm... Pretty-much every week!)

(HELLO, morons! If you judged one team better than the other in the first place, IYO, then why would you then punish the weaker team for losing to the stronger?)

The polls are a *little* fun to follow, but amount to nothing... Can't wait for the first KRACH to be published.
