I agree, Jr. Eagles were solid, no doubt. I think there were a couple of 00' s on that California Wave team that were very good as well.

Also SSM beat the Minnesota Grey team at Nationals with a team that even had a bunch of 9th and couple 8th graders. SSM is obviously an all-star team but I think only one kid is actually from Minnesota.

I have a question and forgive me if this sounds ignorant.. What is the difference between the St. Cloud Camp and the Maine Camp? Is the Maine camp reserved for the best of the best?

Maine Camp invitees are evaluated to advance to the U18 National Team Development Camp in Lake Placid in August. Downselect to approx. 33 players from the Maine Camp. Of the approx. 33 girls invited to Lake Placid, approx. 22 are selected to play a 3-game series against Team Canada U18 at the end of camp. USA Hockey scouting will continue through the Fall season at tournaments and beginning of High School/Prep season before selecting a final roster for the U18 World Championships. Some players from the camp in St Paul may be selected to the Lake Placid camp in August.

Ok thanks.. So if you only make the St. Cloud Camp you really have no chance in making the U-18 USA team? Is that correct?

I believe that there were one or two girls on the final U18 Team this past January that were not at the Maine or Lake Placid camps.
