USA Hockey Womens U18 Select 66 Camp Invites

Re: USA Hockey Womens U18 Select 66 Camp Invites

Anybody have a link to share of U22 USA Roster for tonight's game that includes players numbers?

Re: USA Hockey Womens U18 Select 66 Camp Invites

So I'm casually following this U-22 & U-18 series on Twitter and seeing some video highlights. Just curious on one thing. Why are the stands virtually empty? Is there some kind of quarantine in effect in Alberta? Seriously, this is pretty high level hockey with several probable future Olympians and there is nobody there. Strange, very strange.

These series are more difficult to promote than something like U-18 World Championships. I agree that the hockey features talented individuals, but the series themselves don't directly lead to anything other than bragging rights. The series aren't really a lead up to something else, as the U-18 rosters will be different come January, and the US U-22 team doesn't even compete in any other tournament. When I attended the U-18 series in Blaine four years ago, it was held in a small rink and there was no promotion locally, so even that wasn't filled.

I guess I can understand why it's not full, but there is barely anybody there. Maybe just because there would be multiple current and future Badgers featured, but if this was held in Madison (with any kind of promotion) there would probably be at least 1,000-1,500 to turn out at LaBahn.

USA U18's win the final game 5-4 and take the series 2-1. Actually the score in the finale shouldn't have been that close, as the Americans held a big advantage in puck possession and outshot the Canadians 40-20. The future looks bright for our side.
