US Open Tennis

Unless you're posting this from a playground, then no, you're not DL.

Federer is looking good to advance, up 2-0.

Because the appropriate response to that is to curse her out.

Move on and try to overcome.

Guess you never saw John McEnroe play, what she did was mild

Re: US Open Tennis

Yikes. That last match was amazing.

I remember McEnroe. It was shocking at the time.

Granted I've only seen a few of the "highlights" of McEnroe going after an umpire, but I don't recall ever seeing/hearing him threaten to do physical harm to anyone. She was way out of line, that's all there is to it. However, I do think this incident will result in implementation of some sort of replay or challenge system for foot faults, which would be a good thing.

Oh, and thank Parise that the judge wasn't white. If she was, Serena's doosh-bag father would be all over the media playing the race card. He still might, I guess. It wouldn't surprise me. But if she were white, he'd have started that nonsense already.

Maybe I don't pay that much attention, but I don't know that I would have characterized Serena as someone that would go off like that. Granted the threatening part was way over the top, but I mean just in general I thought she was about the average.

Re: US Open Tennis

Del Potro has turned it around and now leads by a break in the third set (tied at a set apiece).

Re: US Open Tennis

Well Federer- Del Potro has gotten pretty interesting. A set all and Del Potro just broke Federer for 4-3.

Re: US Open Tennis

Why is not OK for a chair umpire to tell Roger Federer to be quiet when he is *****ing? And why does it matter if it was Federer or anyone else?

Re: US Open Tennis

What is up with players who choke against Federer?

He's the best, probably ever, but come on...they turn down so many chances against him its baffling.

Fifth set leading 5-2. Del Potro must have some great serve/return game for him to win the tie-breakers vs Federer. Beats Nadal, looks like he'll win this one against Roger and only 20.
