US Junior Team cuts

Re: US Junior Team cuts

So in other words, there are cases when the letters on the back of the jersey are more important than the front?

Sorry RWtD, I disagree. Let the individuals showcase their talent by showing how they can produce in the clutch and be great teammates in a successful effort.

You think there are any guys out there that aren't aware that there are scouts watching? No one is so selfless. Please. You think your precious Danny Kristo is concerned only with Team USA and would come back from the tournament pleased if he didn't have a single point and hadn't played well, even if the team was successful? No way.

Every team deserves to have their 60 minutes on the ice. No need for a mercy rule. It's not mite hockey.

And you can get into strip clubs at 18 in the US.

I'm just happy to see Latvia got some goals.

Re: US Junior Team cuts

Canada is richer, funnier, healthier, better educated, more worldly, more peaceful and by far most importantly ... the best at playing the great game of hockey ... life is good my friends. Should be a great game with the US.

Who are we comparing them to? Africa?

Hiding behind the skirt of a superpower isn't that tough.

I actually love Canada for the most part and spent months living in Montreal, but your ilk (i.e. the people who fill up the Globe and Mail comments section and boo 18 year olds) make it tough sometimes.

No, who gives a rip, yes, no, probably, we do all your work for you, and yes. Nice work.

So are you going to create a sock puppet named "seetheerise" so you'll actually have somebody to agree with you?

It's typical "little brother" syndrome. Jealousy is a stinky cologne.

Re: US Junior Team cuts

Yeah, do what everyone else does... Refer to Dirty's mom as "baby" instead.
:D :D

I'd think Kristo would come back feeling great about playing in a tourney representing his Country that is officiated well enough to allow him to showcase his talents the easy way instead of the way the WCHA allows it: with players hanging all over them or getting slashed/tripped/interfered with. Heh... I doubt even Minnesota would be as bad as their record indicates if the officiating were better... hard to qualify, but I bet it would be so.

And you can get into the strip clubs at 14 if you have a good enough fake id. :D

If Lee plays, Latvia will get a few more goals too.

Safe bet.

It's easy to do that. Look at the countries that we aid militarily. Why do anything? The Americans will do it for us. I'd roll my eyes in disgust.... but they're right.

See Brady, Jan

Re: US Junior Team cuts

... well, your 'America junior', inferior nation, hiding under the US military umbrella, arrogant, insecure, hockey brother from the North wishes your hockey players well, and looks forward to an intense game on Friday ... even though no one else in the world cares ...

Already looking past Switzerland and Slovakia? ;)

Its cute in a way. Like Dirty said, they really want to be Mexico and turn Saskatoon into the Azteca, but being Canada they can only come up with some weak chants directed at teenagers.

Oh and baby bro is up 1-0 already. I do love TSN's live webcast of all Canadian games. It makes it easy to watch in the office.

edit: Were those green uniforms really necessary? I know they love the Roughriders on the Prairies and all but those ain't pretty.

Re: US Junior Team cuts

Officiating continues to be brutal at this tournament...

Swiss player gets a high stick to the face and is bleeding and Canada is only penalized 2 minutes...

Re: US Junior Team cuts

Canada = good
Green Canada jerseys = hideous

Maybe the US should debut their brown jerseys tomorrow? Look like UPS drivers.

2-0 Canada
