Echoes of a scary phrase from Russian State TV today, hypothesizing that Russia could vaporize the EU and the US coasts with submarine-launched nukes:

"They say this would end the world, but why do we need a world that has no Russia in it?"

I live 8 miles from the Pentagon. If you Flyovers get the last laugh, tell your mom, tell your dad, that I was super rad.

Yeah, I think things copuld end up being very bad for Ukraine in the short term, but in the long run, Putin has signed his country's death warrant. Ukraine may end up falling, and Putie will install his puppet government, but his time in Russia is nearing an end.

That's insanely ominous for the economy. IINM, that means they're essentially confiscating foreign stockholders' shares. It's bad, man. The economy has under a week. Maybe two.

Saw earlier on Twitter that Russians were loading rural locals onto busses saying they were "evacuating" them, but instead going to kidnap them and mix the busses into the convoy to prevent air strikes.


Meanwhile, Russian officials were projecting that Ukrainians were kidnapping Ukranian women and children and using them as human shields.


Hopefully Kyiv residents have been blockading streets filtering roads into known checkpoints/travel routes in an effort to slow the Russians. I've seen multiple Tweets from former Marines offering urban assault tips to Ukranians. Basically sharing everything they've learned from urban warfare in the middle east.

I believe Belarus already has ground units coming in from the north.

Also Russia using Chechen troops and Russian sites are joking that if the Ukrainians kill them so much the better.

That's always a good sign of unit cohesion.

Is Latvia the mildest Baltic towards Russia? I know Estonia and Lithuania are much stronger in their dislike, but you don't hear as much about Latvia.
