Not according to CNBC. They report RUS retook control of the airport at Kyiv, are gloating about cutting Kyiv off from the western world, and are looking to meet in Minsk to discuss taking over.

Sadly, the ones in Moscow resulted in hundreds, if not thousands, of violent arrests.



In the long run, I think this is going to go very badly for Putin. But in the meantime...

Per AJ: US/UK want to freeze Russia from SWIFT, France and Germany do not. Comes down to the degree of intermingling of their respective economies.

But interesting Merkle (out of power) says she's personally in favor of it, so it could be the EU is on the knife's edge and the atrocities which will no doubt follow in Ukraine might push them over the edge.

UK angry they can't influence the EU. Huh. If only there was a way they could have been at the table...

Romania and Poland have opened their borders for refugees. Aid agencies estimate 100,000 people have already been displaced from their homes from Eastern Ukraine.

Good. We should be supporting them with everything we have. We also should have quick tracks for any refugees that want to come and live here.
