Re: University of North Dakota, version 2.0

Alright, I'm going to take the high road here and assume that he was simply walking home in tennis shoes, and that this is one of those freak accidents that comes about from time to time. It happens...right?

Regardless, good luck to Danny and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Re: University of North Dakota, version 2.0

Most be a tad chilly up there this week. Forecast for Denver is -19 tonight.

Re: University of North Dakota, version 2.0

What a tough break. Best wishes to Danny and the people caring for him...

Re: University of North Dakota, version 2.0

There's a wind chill advisary, but tomorrow night it's supposed to get warmer. Well warmer for North Dakota anyways.

Re: University of North Dakota, version 2.0

Dang, it sounds extremely serious. Best of luck to him for a full recovery.

Re: University of North Dakota, version 2.0

The user comments on that Herald article are really something. Yes, you don't hear about incidents like this very often, but windchill was recorded at -33 Sunday night, it is entirely possible that alcohol played no part in it, yet several people are calling for a suspension...

Regardless of how it happened Kristo deserves the support of this fanbase.

"Rumor" is that Genoways injury isn't season-ending.

As for Kristo, regardless of whether alcohol played a part or not, mistakes get made by kids in college. To have a potentially career-ending injury/accident calls for nothing more than compassion at this point. Nobody deserves to have a dumb mistake cost them that much. He wasn't doing something (like driving) that would put others at risk. He was an absolute animal Saturday in CC and has been playing his best hockey. His presence will be missed but I care less about that then the potential price he may have to pay. Thankfully, it wasn't worse.
