University of North Dakota, version 2.0

Re: University of North Dakota, version 2.0

Offensively, the Sioux had their chances last night. Have to tip your cap to Howe. Maybe also have to do a little better job getting some traffic in front of him. Defensively, 40 sog against is an embarrassment. While it's true that during the 1st period, when Chay was still in the game, they kept CC to 8 sog. But the rest of the guys have got to step up.

If Mario isn't required to sit tonight for the major last night, he should anyway on a coaches decision. Playing aggressive is one thing. But we can't have one of our primary penalty killers taking bad penalties himself at crucial parts of the game.

Hey, Sioux. For the love of God. Can you please postpone your quest for the Virg Foss for one weekend?

Re: University of North Dakota, version 2.0

Let's go Sioux!!! Gotta get the split tonight. I'll be in Sec. 207 yelling like a crazy person.

By the way, it's sunny and 62 degrees in Colorado Springs today. What's the temp in Grand Forks?

The Foss is the award for First Half Excellence. I'm guessing that award would go to Yale this year...if we are limiting it to WCHA teams, maybe DU took it this season?

It sounds like there might have been another injury last night. With only Gleason and Rodwell traveling with the team and sitting last night, I would expect Rodwell to be in for the other injured player. Unless that injured player was Mario, I would expect him to be in the lineup tonight.

Um? #2 team in the nation basically crapping their pants against two middle of the pack teams they should have beat? :D

CC isn't a push over...UMN on the other hand... ;)
Still, the Virg Foss isn't an option any longer, the 2nd half has begun.

Funny, we split a series on your pond.

I was always under the assumption the Virg Foss was an award for first half excellence and essentially crapping your pants the second half.

brian already attempted to explain it to you, but it evidently did not work. The Virg Foss Trophy goes to the team who's fans are all atwitter during the first half of the season. Given:
A. Sioux fans are not currently atwitter.
B. It is the Second Half of the season.

It would be reasonable to assume that the Virg Foss Trophy for Midseason Excellence is not currently considering UND as a canidate for the 2010-11 hockey season.

Oh come on, there were fans talking about a 35 win season for you guys. if you weren't atwitter, your tails were a flickin'

Let's try this again. I'll even bold, capitalize and colorize the important part:

A. Sioux fans ARE NOT CURRENTLY atwitter.

Do I need to restate that again? Your fans were talking about a 35 win season. :D

Re: University of North Dakota, version 2.0

Fine, enjoy your trophy while you attempt to win the Sioux Memorial Cup

UND didn't even win the trophy this year. As brian said, it probably went to Yale. Just stop now. And stop making up trophies while you're at it. You don't have that ability yet.

Enjoy the rest of the season, don't forget to change your pants.

Alright, I'll take that imaginary Sioux Memorial Cup. Hopefully the Sioux can add to that trophy by being in the running for the Mac, Broadmoor, and national title as well.
It would be sweet irony to win the national title in April in the last year of the Sioux nickname...in the backyard of your biggest rival. :)

I'll give you that. But considering the track record, I wouldn't hold my breath. :D I'll have to admit, however, I'd rather see the Sioux win it all than the Packers win it all.
