University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Maine dormant that period. Boija having an off day. He was lucky earlier when that guy had a 1-0 with him not in the net. Thought for sure that would be a Stonehill goal, but somehow Brazeale saved it.

Note: Not sure if it would have saved the first goal against, but Charlie needs to not pull up during the other team’s 2-on-1. I have no idea why he didn’t skate hard to back check there. Little mistakes end up in the back of Maine’s net. If you are playing center you have to have the instincts to back check that odd man rush. He likely could have gotten leverage on the guy, tied up his stick, took “good” penalty if he had to, etc… He’s been great let’s hope that is a learning opportunity and he corrects that. Other than that and the scary Boija “gamble gone wrong leading to a 1-0 with no goalie in net”… Maine played well.

I saw that too, but overall, I love the guy.

Today, Maine hammered Stonehill in the 1st and 3rd, but definitely lost focus in the 2nd. I'll bet that Albin wants both goals back, too... They were softies, by his lofty standards.

A bit of a wake-up call. Good teams win even when they have off nights, though. I expect that Maine will be standing on the gas for the whole game tomorrow, and that it'll be a rout.
 
Nice to see Androlewicz found somewhere to play to finish his career. He's got nothing in front of him, but made some okay saves.

Look at the # of penalties by BU. Their out of control no discipline.
I think they had 4 goals called off due to goalie interference.
​​​Watched last 5 minutes, down 3-0 mass had a 2 min 5 on 3. Bu had 2 -5 min majors in the game.
