That is ancient history. Considering the recent locations it is obvious that they are struggling to find venues. Providence and Portland should be the rotating NE venues at this point.

Did they say why it was not selected?
Not a single New England site in 2028. Also North Dakota and Denver locking up host sites each for 2 of the next 3 years. That is bound to cause some havoc. Couldn't Maine put in a bid for Manchester or does UNH own exclusive rights for that?

You can bid anywhere. Maine could bid to host in Los Angeles if it wanted to.

I’m hoping Maine fans can make it there. I won’t be able to swing it. Kind of bummed. So I will have to watch on tv.
Hoping UMaine can coordinate busses to send people down on. Not sure if that is possible on short notice.
I've heard in past Allentown regionals that people flying in sometimes fly into Philly and rent a car for the fairly short drive because Philly fares are cheaper, but I haven't checked fares in those cities as of late.

Another classic was when he got a goal late in the game to beat umass (i believe it was) and it was his 100th point on senior night.
To top it off one of his family members was there who hadnt seen him play here.

Used to fly alot for work and can attest that Philly would be best, good direct service from bangor. There are connections from philly to allentown (or used to be) worth checking on for price, but wouldnt be quicker than driving from philly, unless traffic gets snarled up.
I think Im passing on this trip, sadly.

Bananas at the Mariners game in Portland this afternoon, they recognized the HE championship over the PA in between periods. Big response from the crowd at a sold out game.

You should go if you can, be a blast from the past. This is a fun team. BTW my kid is a pilot, he says Newark. Flies out Newark, Laguardia and JFK for Delta.
