rdf is correct. Defenseman Mario Giallonardo, who did one season at Union back in the D-II Harkness era '70s, played 8 games for the Colorado Rockies and totaled 1 assist.

So.. LOL - Jeremy is now tied for the lead among the 5 ex-Union players to actually play in the NHL (2 of whom are/were goalies).

15 min to get your picks in. 7PM deadline ECAC Pick The Playoffs.

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

Former Union defenseman Nolan Julseth-White was released from his PTO contract with AHL Providence today. Played in 1 game there (0 pts).

It was Julseth-White's second AHL stint this year, having previously spent about a week with San Antonio in January (0 pts in 4 gm).

Julseth-White will probably head back to Las Vegas of the ECHL. Had 3 goals and 17 assists in 52 games there this yr.

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

Retired Union defenseman Mike Ingoldsby discusses his latest endeavors, his hockey career, dealing with concussions, and the decision to be removed from the roster.

You can check it all out here: http://t.co/clPR7Wvywg

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

Fantastic story. Concussions are obviously a serious problem in hockey which need to be addressed. I suppose it's a more acceptable risk for those being paid but even so the impact they can have on lives and careers of young men is potentially devastating. It also shows what exceptional student athletes Union is attracting. Mike's career on the ice may have been limited but his potential off the ice is unlimited. All the best to him. I have a feeling we will be hearing a lot of good things about him.

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

With a SLU win, does that mean we get SLU for sure next week? Aren't they a lot stronger team with their Captain and other injured players returning? If Dartmouth wins, do we get them? Dartmouth has given us a lot of problems this year. Either team is going to be very tough. Any thoughts?

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

If Dartmouth wins on Sunday you see Dartmouth, if they lose you see SLU at full strength.

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

Yep, what LTsatch says. If Dartmouth wins, Union hosts them. If Dartmouth loses, Union hosts SLU.

Anyone here have a preference between the two teams? Believe Union is 0-1-1 vs Dartmouth and 1-1 vs SLU.

I wouldn't wish what he went through on anyone. He probably would have been a really good defenseman for Union (Leaman once compared him to Brock Matheson) but even without hockey he seems to have a ton going for him. I know Union fans will rooting for him.

Re: Union Hockey 2012-2013 - Unfinished Business

Despite what the records indicate I'd rather face Dartmouth. SLU is a different team with Flanagan in the lineup and I feel like Union didn't play up to their potential in either game against Dartmouth.

I probably would agree, but think Union would advance either way. Dartmouth hasn't won back to back games in league play since mid January, so that may not bode well for them tomorrow. We'll see.
