Great job, Union. I knew you guys had a good team when I saw them play in LP in December. I'm glad to see them get rewarded like this.
As much as it would hurt in a way to see Union win a NC before SLU, I'll be rooting hard for you next weekend. Keep it going!

Congrats to all you guys, I'll be there in my SLU jersey cheering y'all on in Tampa from the USCHO suite, now let's get that Union-Cornell Semifinal game!!

I'm repeating myself, but another landmark win for the program. Each week, this program has re-written its own history... the first Whitelaw Cup, the first NCAA tournament victories, and now its first Frozen Four. These were very tough wins this weekend against two outstanding teams. Union had to work especially hard for these wins, but they certainly earned a trip to Tampa. Battles like the two this weekend provide invaluable experience going forward. This team has come a long way in just the last several months and can't be counted out against anyone. You hear about peaking at the right time - this team has.
I'll echo the comment that hopefully this postseason run will spur something in regards to a new facility. This kind of success might inspire some activity on that front (at least one can hope).

I am so incredibly proud of this group of young men and it's good to a Union Alum......
As far as the new arena idea, not gonna happen very soon...
Union has a policy of not starting a capital project until 100% of the funding is in place.
This no debt policy has served Union well over the years and until the project is announced and the funds fully raised, Messa stays.....
Besides, if it annoys other teams so much, why are we thinking about new digs.

UML ran into a better team tonight. Having never seen Union, I was shocked at how well they gel. Incredible team speed, incredible team defense. Good luck in Tampa!

So incredibly proud of this team. I think Grosenick has a VERY good shot at being a final 3 right now for the Hobey Baker, his two safes were absolutely amazing.
