Congrats on a great win for U. Here's hopin' you took some starch out of Y for us !Yes, I'd have to agree it's the biggest win in program history. Not the biggest game -- they lost that one in Albany last March -- but the biggest win. The Presizniuk goal to make it 3-1 was so huge, answering right back after Yale made it 2-1. And now Union can say they've beaten every top-ranked team they've hosted. I never thought I'd see the program having this kind of success, sitting through 20-loss seasons not all that long ago.
Nice win Union. Anyone have a recap, I am out of townBiggest win in the history of the athletic program....including making it to the Stagg Bowls. Way to go U. Make me book a plane ticket to NCAA's PLEASE!!!
Anyone have a recap
Wherever Hull is.. 40% my A$S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As much as the 3rd period had me in constant fear, now that I've calmed down I'm glad that Yale showed their A game in that period. It would have just seemed like an off night for the Eli if they hadn't. I was thinking the game was going to end like last year's home game with Yale (or worse), but the boys dug deep and won enough of the important puck battles in the 3rd to pull it out. One big thing was winning some key faceoffs down the stretch - Yale killed them in the 3rd last year. A very sharp effort by the entire team and was very impressed, and also a little surprised after last weekend's mostly sloppy effort. Kinkaid was outstanding and great to see Prez snap one in. He could really be the missing link now that he has the pin removed from his hand.. thought he had a couple shots last weekend that he just couldn't get any juice on. Wasn't aware that the coaches only played 5 d-men in the last period (benched Forgaard) until heard it on the radio after the game, but may explain a bit why U was a step slow in the 3rd. Hopefully Ingoldsby gets back soon.
I fear a bit of a letdown...only because the boys put out one hell of a physical game and were really starting to suck wind by the end of the 3rd. I have a feeling we'll see a few lineup changes tonight to get some fresh legs out there.Whew.. no time to rest though. Tomorrow's game with Brown is very important (they are currently a TUC) and is the classic letdown game. The team will need a similar consistent and sharp effort to get another 2 points.
I didn't notice that he was benched in the 1st eitherWe noticed that Forgaard was benched after his first shift. In fact, I don't even remember him being on the ice at all until the raising of the sticks after the game. Apparently, he made a bad decision that led to a Yale scoring chance and didn't see the ice again. Combined with his bad weekend last week, his playing time seems to be in some jeopardy. I know Ingoldsby is still hurt, but is there any chance we see a new defenseman in Forgaard's place tonight?

"It's not anything they did at all, O’Neill said. “We just didn't work hard enough."
Way to be a gracious loser.
