Going back to the BC game, if Fessy doesn't give up that extremely soft goal from the corner to make the game 1-1, we're looking at a different outcome. It seemed to suck the wind out of UNH. They fought back and I thought played a great 3rd, but couldn't find the net (which we always knew would be their biggest issue this year)
Missed the 1st period of the Merrimack game and was about to turn it on when I got a text that said 'don't bother' but sounds like just a brutal start for Muszelik. He's a Freshman, and those starts happen. I'm giving him a pass.
I'd like to see how UNH does when the goaltending lives up to expectations. That should be a position of relative strength and they're 2-0 when it hasn't been an issue. Offensively I've seen signs of a better, faster forward group that will create more scoring opportunities than last year. If they start finishing at a modestly higher rate perhaps UNH could look at an 8th place finish. I don't really see any path to 7th which could be their absolute ceiling if everything clicks (still hard for me to accept this) but they'll be a more watchable team this year mark my words.
