So that's you huh! Well nice to 'meet you' formally. Yes, I normally go to Libby's been along time it feels like! I don't think I've been there 'since covid'. Usually when the hubs goes to games we usually can't get there in time unless it's a Saturday. Like this week; we'll leave where we live around 5:30 ish so that puts us out of the 'libby's loop'. But for sure in future games! Always nice to see you! Will look for you there next time.

On another note, curious too to hear how those of you who saw the game actually thought about said game. Just saw the basic stats; good thing we had a decent PK going (or BC's PP needs major work) that we kept them off the board for our 5 penalties (too many 'Cats). Speaks to the D as well as the goal tending. Heard a fan say walking out to their friends who said "what a great game despite the loss" his reply 'they need to find the offense'. I think that will come as they gel abit more. Thinking Tuesday will be a great test. Do not want to go 0-2 in HE...It's way too early to know where we are at but I want to keep seeing that team bring the energy you mention for a full 60; hopefully that will come...(I will be at MC norbert...you going?)

That is is the one and only me. Libby’s hasn’t been packed prior to games, even last night with the hockey parents there plenty of room.

I will not be at MC Tuesday I have hockey that night. That’s a game we normally attend

Does Chuck live in your head rent free? ;);) We need a Chuck prediction for tomorrow's game against Mc!

No..he doesn't and that wasn't meant as a slam while I didn't want UNH to be scored on in the ENG situation I thought well good for Chuck. Trust me...he does not live in my head rent free. Bwahahaha

I tried to put a wink in my post but I guess they’re not working. I’m sure Chuck is happy he doesn’t live in your head rent free because he loves Effingwoods me tinks!

@ Merrimack 4 UNH 3 (OT)

Another too many men on the ice call in OT decides the game in the host's favor.

MS7 blames the ongoing adjustment to smaller ice surfaces for his inability to count.

oh hey just being super sensitive as usual haha. wink. And to be honest, there really isn't any more room for anyone else to live rent free in my head...

HR's predict: UNH 3 MC 2 (OT) Big story of the game is the MS7 credits the win on the smaller ice at the 'Whit... Everyone knows that the Lawlor offers its own special quirks...better be ready.

Not...a good start team looks a bit disheveled out there...not handling the fast transition you get here. Thi k it's going to be a long nite.

Muszelik pulled its 5 zip....shades of last season? Win the first 2 lose the next two. Sigh.

Things seemed to come together abit but then...glad Fezzie has held his own.
Text Gate update: havent seen the phone out yet!!

Huh. Wow.

I don't think any of us ever believed that UNH would be 2-0 out of the chute averaging 4.0 goals per game, with so many newcomers on the team.

It's early....but one has to ponder that maybe.....just maybe.....MS7 may finally have something to build upon.

Again, it's early....let's see where they are at the end of the month.

Well, no need to wait until the end of the month...it's safe to say that this team is nowhere near ready to make some noise in Hockey East this year. Embarassing loss tonight.

We'll have to wait and see how the 'Cats, er, "Liam Devlin and 28 Other Guys" fair against West Point on Friday.

I think I watched maybe the first 10 minutes and turned the game off. Part of it was that ESPN+ has trouble and there was no announcers, it was just background noise. The other was the team looked awful and knew there would be no reason to watch. I am glad that I could not make the trip down for the game or I would have been pissed that I wasted more money on tickets. Let's see if there is a rebound against Army Friday, who knows what this game will bring.

I guess I can hold off on buying my Garden tickets a little longer.

Well that was an old fashioned beat down for sure on an emotional night...kudos to the support given to the Cicco family as even the officials wore his name on their unis.

Want to keep in mind that on any given shift we are playing alot of players still finding their way in college hockey. That said it was more than a challenge as we were frustrated by a lack of offensive presence and they took it to us on odd man rushes etc. I don't want that to seem as an excuse for the (every) game but it's all I have.

It doesn't get any easier from here (is it ever for our Wildcats??) Like Scott says there's a ton of work to be done as you'd expect for any team so here's hoping for a better showing Friday. And here comes BC again...who has been finding their gears.

Ps highlight of the nite was being asked by a couple of MC students sitting in front of us if we were watching our grandson out there....

On a positive note, JvR got tying PPG in game Flyers came back to win tonight. :-)

JvR is now the second-oldest player on the Flyers' roster, behind only a 35 yr. old third pairing D-man - that went quickly! I think this is the last year of his contract, and I'm only surprised the Flyers brought him back and didn't buy him out, especially after a disastrous season for both the Flyers (last) and JvR (-33) last year. Unless the rebuilding Flyers surprise the NHL and contend late into the season for a playoff slot, look for JvR to be dealt to a contender looking for a veteran presence to boost their second PP unit from a bottom six forward slot at the deadline.

In the meantime, the pairing of JvR and his new HC John Tortorella seems to be an odd match.

Middle brother/former Cup winner Trevor is (gulp) 31 years old now. Little brother Brendan is 26 years old and may have quit pro hockey after potting all of six (6) goals in the 'Coast last season.
