Game one of the FCS playoffs for the Wildcats today. Toman is out and QB and Decker is in. So far so good. UNH picks off B-C on their second possession. Jellison would eventually punch one in from 9 yards out. UNH 7 - Bethune Cookman 0.

Defense stops B-C deep in it's own end on their next possession and the Cats get the ball at the B-C 40 after the punt. A nice drive results in another Jellison 9 yard TD drive and it's now 14-0 Cats, late in the first.

Half time and it's tied at 14. I'm pretty sure UNH managed to get called for every infraction in the NCAA football rule book in the first half.

I think these refs have a quota and they have a bunch of penalties they haven't called yet this year. They are making up for it today on UNH.

After an interception by McGinnis UNH takes it downfield and Decker hits Fox in the endzone for a 20 yard TD pass.

Nice last I heard was 14-14 at the half, sounds like the Cats stopped taking stupid penalties like they were right before the half.

UNH kicks a late FG and B-C scores a TD on the last play of the game and UNH will advance to play Delaware next week.

Ya, they played much smarter and simplified the offense for Decker in the second half. After that they just rolled. The Cats had a huge size and speed advantage on B-C today.

This makes six quarterfinal appearances in seven years. Outstanding accomplishment. They're 0-5 in the quarters in that span -- which is not so outstanding. Considering all the built-in disadvantages UNH has, this football program is really amazing. But now it's time to break through.

W&M is out so the semifinal opponent would be Wooford or Georgia Southern.

So the game's on ESPN2 tonight at 8:00 (up against UNH/UMaine hockey on CBSCS).
