UNH Football 2010

Re: UNH Football 2010

RJ Toman plunges in from a yard out for his second TD of the game. Now 22-0 UNH in the third quarter.

Re: UNH Football 2010

Orlando catches a TD pass in the endzone, and it's 29-0 UNH. Where was this UNH defense when Santos and Ball were around?

Re: UNH Football 2010

UMass get a little closer with a short TD, but miss the extra point. With 10:28 to play it's 29-6 for UNH.

Re: UNH Football 2010

I missed the 1st half helping at my bro's place renovating.. seen all of the 2nd half so far. Good stuff, UNH!

Ya, great effort by the Cats today.

Teams exchange TD's and it's now 36-13 UNH with 5 minutes left in the game.

Re: UNH Football 2010

Game over and UNH wins 39-13. This UNH defense is easily the best I've seen since I started watching them some 6 years ago. The offense is a little wishy washy, but they have lots of time to get it together with this defense. Great conference win today.

They have a bye week next week, and then both William and Mary come to town. Not sure why then insist on scheduling games against two teams at once, but there you go.

Cats are now 6-3 overall and 4-2 in conference.

5-3 (3-2) right now, still have 3 games left and HAVE to win one of the games vs. W/M (haven't beaten them since McDonnell's been the coach) or at Villanova (bad taste from last year) and obviously beat lowly Towson...

Same way the Phils lost to the Giants despite a rotation of Halladay, Hamels and Oswalt...no offense.
It was mistakes that cost them at the end of both of those games (Defense choked a 7 point lead away with 2 min left vs. maine then a blocked fg at the buzzer and an INT in OT, and a strip sack/TD return for URI). The offense is slowly getting better, Toman is still learning to play without marquee wr/te's and they're slowly getting a running game... They had a very bend don't break defense today, reminds me of the Pats of the early 2000's. Great game to watch today, wish I could have been there in person!

Re: UNH Football 2010

Sorry for the mis-information on UNH's record. I checked the Wildcat website like right after the game and it said the record was 5-3 (3-2). I assumed there was no way they would update that quickly so I just added a win to both columns, I'm pleasantly surprised to find out I was wrong.

Re: UNH Football 2010

UNH in Philly to take on Villanova in a must win if they are gonna make the playoffs. So far so good as they are up 10-0 in the first quarter. They should be up by more, but have squandered some good early opportunities.

Re: UNH Football 2010

Long drive by Villanova results in an short TD plunge. Score now 10-7 UNH with 10:40 to play in the first half.

Re: UNH Football 2010

UNH with an Oregon style drive as they score on a 64 yard drive in 90 seconds. Toman with a 10 yard run to cap it off, and the PAT is good to make it 17-7 UNH with 8:54 to play in the first half.

Re: UNH Football 2010

Not a good defensive stand by UNH after the TD as Villanova takes it downfield way to easily to score. With 3:25 left in the first half it's now 24-17 UNH. This all set up by yet another terrible kick off after the TD.

Re: UNH Football 2010

Very weird UNH team. Much less predictable than in years past (though the ball-crushing loss to W&M was right out of the trusty old UNH playbook). Sounds like the consensus is that UNH is heading back to the tournament if they beat 1-9 Towson at home next week.

Re: UNH Football 2010

UNH playing Towson today in a must win for the Cats if they are to make the playoffs. Towson got on the board first with a FG, but UNH has responded with a 6 yard TD pass to Kevon Mason. Cats lead 7-3.
