UNH Football 2009

Re: UNH Football 2009

I'm headed down to Williamsburg for the game today, anybody else? I'm assuming I won't bring the same luck I did for the Towson laugher earlier this season, but I'm excited to see something at least approximating a game this time. I'm also happy to be seeing Toman play in-person for the first time since he missed the Towson game. Hopefully, the line can keep him off his back and on his feet.

Re: UNH Football 2009

This will be quite a challenge. On the road, vs. a top-five team, and a team against which they've had no recent success.

Re: UNH Football 2009

William and Mary settle for a FG after looking like they were going to score a TD on their opening drive. But for a personal foul they almost certainly would have as the defense could not stop the Tribe offense at all. 9:00 left in the first and it's 3-0 W & M.

Re: UNH Football 2009

Nice reply drive by UNH leads to a 12 yard Scott Sicko TD catch. With 4:35 left in the first, UNH leads 7-3.

Re: UNH Football 2009

UNH turn the ball over deep in their own territory and W & M make them pay. Score now 17-10 with 6:33 to play in the third.

Re: UNH Football 2009

Ah, crap. I was going to go to this one. Completely forgot. :(

Guess there's still the WM-Richmond game next week. That one won't have the same feel if the Wildcats come back on the Tribe, tho...

Re: UNH Football 2009

UNH had a 4th and 7, throws a screen . . . that goes for a TD.

Then gets flagged for a celebration penalty. WM announcers unhappy, saying it's a stupid rule.

Re: UNH Football 2009

On fourth down and long Toman hits Joey Orlando for a long TD pass and run and with the PAT it's all tied at 17 with 8:37 to play in the game.

Agreed. If you take the helmet off and throw it, ok. If you take it off and hold it, how is that in any way hurting the game?

Re: UNH Football 2009

That was big. TD there would have been huge with under 3:00 to go...but the receiver couldn't make the catch.

WM 20
UNH 17

Plenty of time for UNH, since the Wildcats don't seem to be a running team (25yds on the day).

Re: UNH Football 2009

Lots of balls batted down since I started listening late in the 3rd.

Is UNH's QB short? :D

4th and 8. Here's the game (potentially). UNH calls time.

Conversion fails. Sounds like it was a good game.

Against W&M, my expectations couldn't be lower. UNH hung in there but obviously just didn't make enough plays with the game on the line.

UNH hosting Maine next week, hoping to move to 9-2 and wrap up a tourney berth. Should be a very good game.
