I disagree. The Vikings played nearly a complete game and looked pretty good, IMO.

It was ugly early, when I made the post. :)
The Vikes improved dramatically as the game progressed and the Bengals remained ugly.

Marvin Lewis lost the game when he pulled a "Glen Mason" at the end of the first half. His idiocy lead to 3 more points with the Vikes getting ball to start the second half.

"Bob Snelker didn't tell him to fumble the ball!"

One of the many great Jerry Burns rants.

Whine Line has crucified Childress in the past for kneeling in a similar situation, so of course they called Lewis out for the decision to try and score. :p

Well it is a different scenario than kneeling...he called TO to get the ball back, had more TOs I believe and about 30 seconds and called a running play and a short pass. (or something like that) If you dont want to run an offensive play fine I can see that but then run the clock and end the half dont risk a turnover on plays that have no chance of getting you any points. Doing so killed any chance they had in the game.

My point is that some fans whined when Childress didn't try to score in a similar situation, and I bet it was the same yahoos that called in to say that Lewis had no business trying to score in the same situation. I'm not arguing pro/con either way just noting the inanity of your average whine line caller. :)

The Niners score to make it 17-0 approaching halftime, so much for that "good loss" against the Cards. :)

Re: (un-) Official Minnesota Vikings 2009-2010 season thread

Will Erin Henderson try to weasel his way out of his suspension ala the Williams Wall?

http://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=832094&catid=391

His suspension begins immediately. He is primarily a special teams player. His position is linebacker. He is the younger brother of fellow Vikings linebacker E. J. Henderon, who suffered a broken leg against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Will KARE11 fix this?

the Saints gave the Vikings a gift, and they are throwing it away.

Say goodnight...no excuses for this one.

They'll have 'em. Minnesota teams are experts at excuses.

EDIT: Minnesota Viking football is back. Even Brett Favre can't save them now.

horrible blocking. That's what it came down to. Horrible blocking.

Dont forget horrible tackling...Carolina bailed out the D on many a drive...oh well.

But yes the offensive line play was atrocious...that may be an understatement.
