I suppose this just furthers the belief that actually fact-checking is a thing of the past for any of today's media outlets.

You cant blame the media for this...it was the Vikings that released the info to the public about OT...the media trusted the Vikings report.

Re: (un-) Official Minnesota Vikings 2009-2010 season thread

So I'm assuming everyone here has seen the bud light tailgate tested tailgate approved commercials right.... well the bud light speaker box isn't a joke I saw one at westside today. The guy said they didn't work very well but I was amazed they actually had them.

My local Old Chicago has the motorized cooler, and it works very well. I checked online for models (and similar) to it, and they run from $300-$800 or so. Not bad at all (for the cheap models). Imagine that at the Final 5!! :D

We could use my blender that just broke to rig something up, the base and motor still works fine. We'd have to gear it down a bit and we wouldn't really have control of it, but it could still be fun!

I'd donate a weed whacker to power that - it'd be cake to rig it up.

From the looks of it, it's basically a lawn mower engine rigged to a cooler that fits a case of (and I quote) "24 cans of your favorite tasty beverage" and it's rated to 250 pounds for the rider of said cooler.

I really want one.

Re: (un-) Official Minnesota Vikings 2009-2010 season thread

Wow and I thought the commercials were lame...

Re: (un-) Official Minnesota Vikings 2009-2010 season thread

They are lame. But that cooler is awesome.

Uh no...if the commercials are lame then people who would make and/or purchase anything associated WITH those commercials (including the **** beer) are lame as well.

That makes no sense. But I do agree on the beer.

Let's take the reverse stance of your theory:

The Guinness "BRILLIANT!!" commercials were entertaining. Same with the Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man In The World" commercials.

Dooshbags (a LOT of them) drink Guinness. And Dos Equis is not a great beer.

So according to your theory, all Guinness drinkers would be not lame, and the people who don't buy Dos Equis beer are lame.

If fact, those last two statements are the exact opposite of what the majority is.

Things I've learned: usually, the crappier the beer, the better the commercials, with only a few exceptions.

The Dos Equis commercials are dumb as hell...only drunk idiots and dirty would think they are any good.

Re: (un-) Official Minnesota Vikings 2009-2010 season thread

Hey! I think the Dos Equis commercials blow. That bearded dink needs a beat down.

I would say you have zero sense of humor. I think they are hysterical.

Ok, let's delve into the Miller Lite commercials. Most of the time, they are funny (and/or successful). The beer? Horrid.

On the flipside, the Red Stripe commercials (Hooray beer! campaign): great commercials, decent beer. One of the few that have done well on both sides.

My bad Dirty...I did not mean to insult you in such a manner...those commercials are like a cancer.

Wow Miller Light commercials are good? Maybe in like 1991 when they did the "Tastes Great, Less Filling" commercials but not since. Jesus they have commercials that use PA in them...of course you probably love that.

But hey, if you want to waste your time building a cooler with a motor to house whatever **** beer you choose to drink that is your deal...my whiskey just requires a few cubes of ice. And I get more for my money :)

Re: (un-) Official Minnesota Vikings 2009-2010 season thread

I still see no reason why a portable, gas-powered blender is a bad idea.

Winter is a bad time, though. Summer? Oh hell ya. Daquiris, margaritas, etc. Yes, I know they are foo-foo drinks (c) Three Sheets, but that doesn't mean they are not good. ;)

Wow...hey would you like a Cosmo too?

Who said the cooler had to house beer? :p

I bet that cooler can house 3-4 bottles of whiskey. I would think that would suffice. :D

Re: (un-) Official Minnesota Vikings 2009-2010 season thread

I think the general beer commercial rule is: If Brent likes it, it must suck.
