Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

He's trying to go after the PIM put up in the USHL by Gryba (205) and McCauley (176 and 236).
I actually don't mind that to be honest. I think this team has needed a tough defensemen on the blue line all season.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

Agree, they need more size and some tough physical players.

A little dated, but another article on Mihailovich.

Great to have another USHL recruit coming to the team, especially a tough defender. Although, after reading the article, it seems like the kid really has a good head on his shoulders (prioritizing a college scholarship) and is a versatile player. Next year's class is rounding out pretty well.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

another recruit will be announced over the weekend. very happy with and will be an instant impact.
very good player

Yes it is. And I do like the USHL kids, they're playing against better competition.

Thanks for the info. Is this for next season, or a bit out?

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

Al Butler is a classic. All time great kid and teammate and will play a perfect role for UML. Understands the game, dad was a longtime coach and he is the proverbial coaches kid. Will be a shutdown guy who will have no problem with pis*** off the blue chippers from BU/BC etc. Very accountable kid and will be a keeper. was happy to see him come and Rayner head south. Had always thought that was a bad match and said so last year. Butler will get better every year.

Your new recruit can put the puck in the net but will do so from a far.......

You were definitely right about Rayner.

I hope you're right about this one too, sounds like a d-man. Can you tell us from what league? And is this a definite commitment? In other words, has the kid made his decision already and just not commited, or is he favoring UML? And thanks for the info ... we're not one of the big schools so it's tough to get recruiting news.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

UML is a great school and has had some very strong years not so long ago. Early departures hurt you.
A nice young group in place with some quality players coming in.

95% done but a few big schools from the west(top 5 types) all over him as well, as we speak. Wants Hockey East and loves U M Lowell. check your messages

I'm also interested in any additional information you may have. Thanks

Thanks for the info. I do hope he's a good kid, good player and does commit here. Suppose we'll find out soon enough.

Re: UML Recruiting, Building for the future

From USHR:
Terrence Wallin has 15 points (5-10-15) in 8 games played. I believe he is still out of the line up for Gunnery.
Corey Scammon has 16 points (3-13-16) in 19 games played for Cushing.

I wonder if UML is looking at Cushing's Robbie Baillargeon who's leading the team in scoring (19GP, 16-25-41). He's listed as 6-0 175, DOB 11/26/93 from Brewster, MA.

He's listed as one of the top '13s out there, so unfortunately I doubt it.

Not to push, but wondering if anything has changed on this?
