UML Recruiting, 2017+

I was hoping for a little more in that article. It seems as though Barry lifted most of that material from the same articles we've all searched for. The coach's quote is from the article UMLfan shared. No mention of the RBC cup win either. It would be nice if he could do a follow up with some original quotes from the kid, his family or Norm.

Yeah, it seemed to rehash pretty much everything we've already seen.

Basically agree with you, especially with the kid being local. But Norm can't be interviewed for a recruit until he's signed a NLI.

Re: UML Recruiting, 2017+

Wow, UAH just picked up a 2000 commit. Didn't think I'd see that anytime soon.

UNH picks up their first 2000 commit, Marek Wazny.

Thanks for posting. Croix had either an assist or goal for all 3 scored in the Sunday game, and his goal was an OT game winner. He's now the leading point scorer among defensemen in the NAHL. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a weekly award for his weekend performance.

Thanks. I missed that about Croix leading the league for D scoring. I believe the NAHL plays 3 on 3 for OT. I haven't been able to find anything on the extent of Eriks Zohovs injury. He's missed the last 3 games. Hopefully he's back soon.

Agreed, especially with the U20 WJC coming up. USA opens the tournament against Latvia on 12/26 and I would assume the game will be on NHL network. Obviously Latvia will be playing to avoid relegation, but it would be cool to get a chance to see him play in the tournament.

Re: UML Recruiting, 2017+

Unfortunate update on Eriks Zohovs, according to this google translated article, he's suffered a broken hand and will miss the U20 WJC. The Latvian team will be playing the Hawksbury Hawks as part of a tune up exhibition on Dec 23rd.

Janesville press release.

Evaluation: The Madison, WI native had a very good year in the NAHL and improved as the season went on. He has good size and defends well. He has good hands and makes hard, accurate passes. The 1997 is a solid college prospect,

Another from Madison!

Re: UML Recruiting, 2017+

Trevor Zins will be back in Cedar Rapids for at least this weekend with 2 defenseman gone to the WJAC and WJC.

Cedar Rapids put him on the affiliate list which means he could possibly be delayed going to UML a year. We shall see how it plays out at the end of the year
