UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

Last night's results for UML recruits:

*Olds Grizzlys Marc Boulanger was named the Home Star making 31 saves for a 1-0 shutout win.
*Tyler Brickler was held pointless in Westside's 4-1 loss in the BCHL.
*Josh Holmstrom (-2) and Chad Ruhwedel (-1) had no points in Sioux Falls 5-3 loss to Green Bay.
*Will Rayner (-1) was also held scorless in Lincoln's 2-1 shootout loss.
*Jr Bruins Joe Pendanza was held scoreless in their 4-2 win. TJ Massie got the win with 33 saves in 35 shots.
*Derek McCoy had an assist in Valley's 5-3 loss.
*Scott Wilson had the game-tying goal in Georgetown's 3-2 OT win.
*Nick Curry was held scoreless in Springfield's 4-3 loss.

Today's results (so far):
*Derek Arnold has an assist currently as Waterloo plays Holmstrom and Ruhwedel's Sioux Falls team. Waterloo leads 2-0 in the second.
*Joe Pendanza again held scoreless as the Jr Bruins won 5-2.
*Derek McCoy has an assist in Valley's 6-6 tie (currently in OT).

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

It's his call. If he wants to quit acting like a *******, things end.
well he was in this thread discussing current and potential UML recruits. still not sure what you're doing in here, tough guy.

what's it like being a self-appointed internet fun policeman?

Or maybe you should go back and recheck the record.

This is sad. I've got nothing against anyone on this board unless they're acting the fool or intentionally trying to provoke me.

I had been following this thread since its very beginning since I'd been following Wallin's progress. I guess the answer here is that UMLGoon wants to be the shining example of jerk to sully an otherwise outstanding fanbase.

It's because he is a troll poster, he goes running around other teams threads posting hot air...he should be renamed red clown. Others can't have an opinion different from his, he talks down to you instead of talking things out...best part is he doesn't know half of what he claims too...

Good luck the rest of the way, don't let Red Clown get you down.

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

So back to the actual topic. I gave a couple of in-game updates yesterday, here's how they finished.

Sioux Falls made a comeback and tied Waterloo with a minute to go in the game but then lost in OT. Arnold finished with the 1 goal for the winners, while Ruhwedel (+1) and Holmstrom (-2) had no points for Sioux Falls.

Julian Melchiori had no points in Newmarket's 2-1 win.

Derek McCoy finished with just the single assist in Valley's 6-6 tie (as it currently shows on the EJHL site).

Brockville lost their second game in about 3 months (or so it seems), losing to Pembroke 6-1. Shayne Thompson was held without a point.

Doug Carr is still not playing for Cornwall, recovering from injury. He is expected back finally this Thursday.

Monty, Wallin had 3 points (1-2-3) in a 5-1 win on Saturday.
Gunnery is currently 20-3-2, their next game is Wednesday. Wallin now has 31points (13-18-31).

Wow, I just noticed that was a playoff game for Newmarket.

Ha! I hadn't realized that either. Newmarket leads the first round best-of-seven series 3-0 over St. Mike's.

Just looking around, the OJHL (Scott Wilson) has one more week left in the regular season.

Marc Boulanger (Olds Grizzlys) stopped all 33 shots last night for his 2nd shutout in a row in a 2-0 win over Canmore. This was the 3rd win for Olds and Boulanger in the last 4 days. Over that stretch Boulanger has allowed 2 goals and stopped 91 of 93 shots.

Re: UML Recruiting 2010 and beyond

I know most of us agree the USHL is pretty good for getting players into college, but this still impressed me. More than 2/3 of the current players base in the USHL has committed to DI hockey, and they've still got two months left in their season.

Exactly, if you look at the news section, almost all committed during their stay there. By far the best league and where schools should focus
