UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

Jeremy Dehner was signed and will be playing for Norfolk.
Here's the announcement on Dehner and Barry Goers from the UML site.

At this rate there will not be any seniors at the banquet. ;)
Hopefully everyone will complete their school work on time in order to graduate in May.

Has anyone heard anything about Campbell or Edwards leaving early?

I've been told that Bentley is in fact not on the schedule for next season, and the 7th non-conference game has yet to be determined.

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

This is my last post concerning the UVM posters on this board......They are all clowns.

I swear Lowell was mentioned 99% of the time in the UVM season thread after UVM made the NCAA's on Sunday.

My best friend went to UVM, but that was back in the ECAC days when they sucked. Since UVM moved to Hockey East their fans are insufferable.

Lowell News: Has anyone received their season ticket invoice?

The reference to UML generally had something to do with one of your posters saying how UVM didn't deserve to get in again and how crappy they were etc......(if it was something else then you are right that UVM poster is being a ******)

As (I think it was Patronick who said this well) it's simple math and all the teams know what they need to do to get in or stay home. Those teams that are in deserve to be there (though a case against a 4 team league can be made) and the rest don't.

A case can be made for why other teams might have made it but most of us (fans of our teams) won't sit by and let others call our team be it UVM or any other team who makes it ( based on the rules in place today, known to all the teams) crappy , undeserving etc for getting into the tourney. Is UVM the same caliber team as UND, BC, Miami..no not as far as they have shown but they are good enough to get into the tourney....though just barely.

Another goal for Ben tonight. He was a +1 in a 6-2 loss.

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

I'm hoping Carter gets the start against the Monarchs on Saturday. Any other Lowell fans making the trip up to ManchVegas to at least see Holmstrom rack up some more tallies?

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

He's only playing on weekends. During the week he's back in Lowell finishing his classes.

well, philly is going to need him for the cup run so I'd hope he's working a bit harder to finish up :p

edit: while we're on him... other errata from that game... Hutton broke up Hershey's 24 home game win streak.

Since I live a little under a mile from the Verizon, it'll be a nice walk to the arena for me.

I talked to Soup a couple days ago, he said for right now he is sticking with Lowell. But, if he is offered to sign and go pro, he is taking the offer and will leave. He has no offers yet but we will see.

I will also be there Saturday rooting for Holmstrom and possibly Hutts!

I'd fully expect Soup to bail if he got an offer. He's 24 and has done well here, but if that payday comes, he has to take it.

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

I think I'll head up to Manchester tomorrow. It's always fun rooting against Manchester and now I have a reason to root for adirondack. Plus this will be a lot cheaper than going to Worcester.

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

Looks like Hutts picked up the loss last night against Hartford. Lost 3-2 in so 34 saves. Hes staying consistent with the avg of 2 GA each game. Hope he does well vs Monarchs tonight. I also noticed last night they changed his number from 35 to 47 now.

Re: UML offseason looking towards 2010/11 season

Just to throw it out there...Johan Backlund of the FLyers just got injuried tonight. It was his Groin and he was pulled after the 2nd period. Right now their back up is Boucher and he played in the 3rd. This possibly means either Hutton :D or Duchensne could be called up soon depending if Backlunds injury is serious.
