UML Offseason 2015: It's not rebuilding anymore

Just a basic question to the tried and true Lowell fans. Every time we go to a game at Tsongas, we dine beforehand at either the beer-works or tremonte pizzeria. We've also tried cobblestones.

Our question is,...are there any better places than these? Especially interested in IPA stations within 5-10 min drive of the arena.

Ward Eight on Central St. has a high-end beer selection. I also heard the food is pretty good.

Also, one of the issues at Beerworks is that it gets packed quickly. They have expanded, and added a pool room (three tables) which probably can add another 50-75 people.

Re: UML Offseason 2015: It's not rebuilding anymore

Hello fellow Lowell fans, If you are a season ticket holder you have probably by now have gotten the email about the package to go to Ireland. I just want to say that the package they are offering is not a good deal. There are several reasons that I say this, 1. the package that I had put together is for 2 nights more for about the same price as theirs the difference being that my package starts with 10 people and theirs with 20. With my package at twenty people it is $200 cheaper than their 20 people. My package we are also staying in Dublin theirs they are not. I had my package together a week and a half before them and they didn't want to present it to season ticket holders. I think we all may know the reason for that, but I wont go into it here. If anyone is interested in more info on my package deal email me at beachockey@Comcast.net and I can email you my phone for further info. Cant wait for the season to start. GO RIVERHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meh. I can't leave the rest of my relatives with nowhere to go for one of the few holidays we all get to see each other. I know how I think is sacrilege- sports are supposed to come first- but planning something like this and taking people away from their families burns my but. :( Other than Christmas this is one of the only holidays that Mr les was actually around for part of.

I can't justify giving up Thanksgiving. Sorry for your husband having to make this trip and not be at home. I'm not a fan of these set of games in general, unsure what purpose they serve other than boosting the Boston mayor's ego. Worse is that its on a major holiday weekend.

If there really is going to be a game watch I'll join you guys up in Lowell that weekend.

edit: if Mary's going to be in N Ire then I can't hope for her to stockpile Navigation beers for me... not that I've asked... a little presumptive... I don't know what they do with their small brew system there and if they can keep it up but they kick out winners. In my top 10 right now for sure.

Dudley's on Merrimack St has good food and they change up their craft draft beer selections every week. They only have craft beers on tap. I can't recommend them enough as the staff is fantastic and the place has a good vibe. Cheaper than Cobblestones and about the same price as Tremonte.

Well Lowell fans, you got your new #1 assistant in Andy Jones who transferred over from Clarkson.

Navigation is awesome and you're correct that I'll be in Belfast so I can't stockpile beer for you, sorry! As it is, I haven't stopped by the brewery lately between Mom having surgery and working crazy hours. My supply is running low.

I doubt any Clarkson fans read this thread, but would love to know more about our new Assistant.

Re: UML Offseason 2015: It's not rebuilding anymore

Thanks Jeff. Any idea of his recruiting prowess?

I'd like to know that as well.

His bio on the Clarkson website says that he was responsible for coaching defense and by looking at the team stats it seems as though they've had some good defenses the past couple of seasons.

I haven't seen anything I've wanted recently either but I'm big on fall seasonal so I do want to pick up any Oktoberfest beer or things along those lines.
