UML Offseason 2015: It's not rebuilding anymore

Re: UML Offseason 2015: It's not rebuilding anymore

On a different note, Lowell has it's first ever soccer player named to the Hermann Award watch list. The award is given to the best player in the country.

Re: UML Offseason 2015: It's not rebuilding anymore

He's one of their bigger named recruits, so I'm confused by this.

And no longer... re: Dmowski.
@JMSoderberg
@nerevsfan It was an error. They made a mistake in the press release. Updated my post... Dmowski is coming this season.

His profile has been added to release and his name is on the roster.

The biggest loss here, IMO, is when he did play, he won most of his faceoffs. But other than that, good luck to him in Canada.

He took a dumb penalty against Harvard that led to a pp goal and barely played after that.

Not a total surprise that he's moving on. Best of luck to Chris.

Maniccia dressed and skated in 13 of the first 14 games for UMass Lowell with 10 points (4g, 6a), including a hat trick against New Hampshire on November 1. However, he skated in only seven of the last 18 games for the team, including not dressing for the final 10 games of the season.

Re: UML Offseason 2015: It's not rebuilding anymore

The roster is at 28 (17 F, 8 D, 3 G). Hollman, Maniccia, Kohls and Mayea are not returning. Anderson, Leclerc and Goransson will arrive next season. Currently 7 recruits for next season (5 F, 1 D, 1 G).

I wasn't able to make it out to the season ticket holder bbq tonight. I hope anyone that went had a good time and please share any additional news that might have been revealed.

Scott Donnelly is also leaving the Athletic Department.

I didn't even know that was happening last night until I saw some pics on FB. Would rather have been there than working late.

Re: UML Offseason 2015: It's not rebuilding anymore

Lowell Sun article on the team: UML nets goalie from Finland.

Bazin said the River Hawks have hired an assistant coach to replace Jason Lammers, who left to become the head coach of the USHL's Dubuque Fighting Saints. Bazin said the school received interest from 28 applicants, which was whittled down to four "great candidates." The hiring is not official pending paperwork, but ESPN has reported that joining Bazin's staff will be Andy Jones, an assistant coach at Clarkson University for the past four seasons.

It was a great time. There were tours of the locker room. Really impressive what you don't see back there.

Re: UML Offseason 2015: It's not rebuilding anymore

Just a basic question to the tried and true Lowell fans. Every time we go to a game at Tsongas, we dine beforehand at either the beer-works or tremonte pizzeria. We've also tried cobblestones.

Our question is,...are there any better places than these? Especially interested in IPA stations within 5-10 min drive of the arena.
