Re: UML 2013/2014 Season ... The Target is firmly on

Your team is just ok. Your arena is just ok and your school's academics could be a bit better! I don't wish your team luck tonight and hope that my team beats your team!

Also, I hope your goalie lets in lots of goals this weekend and that your team plays not quite as well as the Friars!!!

Furthermore, I hope that some of your traveling fans get mildly inconvenienced in traffic twice on the way to tonight's game, especially at the S curves in Pawtucket and that you experience hunger while you are sitting in traffic.

Sorry to flame but that's how I roll!!! Consider yourselves taunted! Bring it!!!!
It took the team 2:45 minutes to get there. 5 min delay of start. I think this wishing thing was a bit too effective!

Another embarrassing performance.

Here's hoping they can somehow manage to get home ice, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Glass is back to disappearing again. Shoot, just when I thought we might have a glass again....

Explain to me what you've seen from this team in the past two months that gives you any indication things are going to improve. The wins over BU, AIC and Canisus?

In the past 2 months? That would be the wins over Notre Dame (two) and Clarkson (two). They are 7-3-2 in the past 2 months. Overreact much? They lost to a better team tonight. Yes, it sucks to blow a 3rd period lead, but as Bob Ellis said after the game, "Lowell didn't lose this game, Providence won it." The Friars dominated that 3rd period, especially the last 10 minutes. There is a reason they are ranked #7. Playing without Wilson didn't help, but that's not why they lost. Hellebuyck had a bad game, he's not perfect. He was fighting the puck all night. Shots on him that he would normally just swallow would bounce off of him and land in front of him and he'd have to jump on them. The game-winner was a bouncer in the crease that looked like it may have bounced off of Houk and just over the line before Hellebuyck could react to it.

I'm not ready to jump off the University Ave Bridge yet. Far from it. This team will be fine.

Helly (not going to butcher the name) was fighting the puck tonight but none of them were really his fault. PC put two shots off the water bottle, a wicked writer by Jankowski, the Mauermann goal was crazy and the other one was a picked shot out of mid air.

What hurt Lowell was zero offensive pressure in the third period!

Btw that Notre Dame wins aren't looking good as they are tied with BU in second to last place

Re: UML 2013/2014 Season ... The Target is firmly on

Well the Hawks got the goals tonight but unlike last week the team defense struggled for much of the game. Too many defensive breakdowns tonight with Friars left wide open in front of the net. The last half of the 3rd period was tough to watch. Once PC got within one I don't think the Hawks won another puck battle.

Was there any word on injuries during the game? The bench looked pretty thin in the third. I don't recall seeing much of Wilson or McGrath tonight. I know Wilson took a big hit early in the game.

Hopefully the team can bounce back tonight and earn the split.

According to the PC beat writer, Wilson and McGrath were NOT on the bench in the third for the Riverhawks.

Well, I wouldn't have made this much effort to type all that but that about sums it up. If we win we will be going to play in the Frozen 4 and if we lose we might as well sit home for the rest of the yr. It is like watching a pendulum on the clock- extreme reaction in either direction. Silly. After 30+ yrs of watching I've figured out that we will play until they hang up the skates at the end of the yr no matter what I think after a single game.
