Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

Will they be able to listen to audio of the replay as well? And more importantly, will they be able to use the Bruins' audio at the (insert bank name here) Garden?

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

It's not public info for a reason I'm sure, so let's leave it at that.

well, what was it, 1 week (going from the radio from what i can remember)? so obviously something stupid but not too stupid

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

Only seven months too late.
the thing that annoys me the most about it is that this is tantamount to the league admitting it screwed lowell out of that goal, without actually doing it. the only on-the-record quote about it, on the other hand, is joe bertagna saying it was the right call.

if they'd just actually say they screwed lowell, then i wouldn't have a problem with them acting like this is a great thing for everyone and we should be happy to have it. if amherst can get an apology for that lowell goal/4-3 loss in 2005, then lowell absolutely deserves one for that gong show last march.

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

BTW: Can the UVM fans please leave this thread until November? Much appreciated.

Oh really????

Where were you during the summer when your UML buddies made over 50 posts in our off-season thread(only counting those with UML in name or sig so the number is likely higher) What goes around....

I wont talk about this weekend because 2 games is not enough to prove anything.

Puleeze!! If you feed the idiots they will keep at it. They want a rise and you give it. Most of us in here are heartily sick of this stupid nonsense. For all of you who want to keep on sissy fighting go start another thread and play there.

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

Kind of quiet with Lowell being off this weekend. Hopefully the team will be at full strength for Colgate and Northeastern.

FYI - For the folks looking for some college hockey to watch this weekend. Merrimack has their home opener on Friday against Holy Cross, all tickets are only $5.00. They also play Army on Saturday night, at the regular price.

I'll probably will be heading over there (pending any work issues) on Friday evening since I work practically on the same street as Merrimack. I've haven't missed a live regular-season game somewhere during the first two weeks of the season and the $10 discount is even more reason to go :D

its always fun to watch the Valley B team :p

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

Lowell really needs to come out of the gates with good performances over the next 6 games.

10/23 Colgate: Should be a big crowd and a team that Lowell should beat.

10/24: Northeastern: No Thiessen, no NU? I have no clue what kind of team the Huskies have this season.

10/30: BU: Tsongas should be packed to the rafters for this game.

10/31: @ BU: Lowell always plays good enough to lose at Agganis. Let's hope times have changed.

11/6: @ UVM: No comment.

11/8: UNH: I really detest the team from Durham. My hatred for Umile is close to my hatred for Parker. lol

Thoughts on these games? I really feel we need to win at home as we have 5 Hockey East games in a row.

Can anyone confirm the start times for the Northeastern and UNH games. Do they start at 5PM or 7PM?

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

Both games are at 5PM.

Any rationale for the 5PM starts? imo, I've never been a fan but then again, I've loved the certainty of that set routine... leave at 4, there by 5, arena at 6, game at 7.

Anybody have a working teleporter?

That's a pretty tough stretch, but I expect every game this season to be a battle, regardless of the opponent. The Hawks will need to bring their 'A' game most nights if they hope to be successful this season.

I'm hoping for 2 wins next weekend then another win against BU on the 30th. We all know expectations are through the roof so why not think the positive?

I really think Tsongas is going to be packed for those games. Lowell is a proud City and people like me (alums) have slowly come back to the program over the last 3 or 4 years.

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

I don't think Lowell should lose any of those games, I would, however, accept one loss and one tie out of that bunch. Wherever they happen to fall is, for now, irrelevant (except it better not happen against Colgate, Northeastern, or Vermont)

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

Ex Lowell player Mark Carlson will once again be coaching the US Junior Select team at the World Junior A Challenge, his second straight year.

BTW, have to give congrats to PC last night for winning at Notre Dame. So UVM, NU and PC (three teams not in the top 3 of HE in the preseason) all go out west and win against ranked teams. Impressive.

Has anyone checked on Jon? Gotta believe he can't still be breathing.
