That is good for you. You have enough to worry about with the collapse of your hockey program.

I thought it was Hoagy, the assistant equipment manager.
I'm sure you're right...whomever is the cancer survivor threw out the pitch and you could tell the players were thrilled for him. Very nic gesture by the 'dogs.
Ok, it was definitely Hoagy, and he's not the cancer survivor, so somewhere the lines got crossed. Chris Garner is the cancer survivor. Hoagy is, um, special. Was there more than one pitch?
Gotcha. I happened to see it on the local news last night (WCCO?) and they said the person who threw the pitch was a cancer survivor.
Regardless of who threw the pitch I loved the fact the players put someone on the staff ahead of themselves and it says a ton about the team's character - wonderful story!![]()
I skated around at Lake Placid in 1984 for 4 overtimes until we lost and was the goofy mascot the Maroon Loon. It doesn't get any sweeter now. Now next year my nephew Derik Johnson, (dad is Jim Johnson), will be playing. Good to see my old Pal Hoagie still around.
Have fun Wednesday night. Our little celebration from the desert:
