Not to be a Negative Nelly but the hats they gave the Bulldogs at the end of the game were fugly. Who wants a grey hat!? (Ok, other than the Bulldogs who just won.)

I assume that those are the generic hats where they sewed a logo in the middle and UMD will put out proper ones.

Congrats to UMD, I was in awe all night with your teams passing skills. Tape to tape all night, great exhibition of hockey skills. The game winner was another example, awesome game for the Bulldogs, Enjoy:D

One hell of a flury of good passing, hitting and determination at the end of the game to win it.

Congratulations Bulldogs!. I think I speak for many sioux fans when I say that your winning the championship was the second best outcome we could have wanted. A distant second, but congratulations nonetheless.

Congratulations on that 1st National Championship from this long time fan of New Hampshire hockey. I actually came out of my chair when the overtime goal went in and said to nobody in particular ...."isn't that great"

Congratulations to the Bulldogs from this SCSU fan. Great to see for the team, fans, school, and city. Good to see the WCHA back on top of it all again!

Congrats UMD.

At the party at my house to watch the game tonight, I can tell you that the most enjoyable moment was the disallowed goal by Michigan. Guess why. I had a house full of people here at my house tonight all rooting for UMD and we weren't disappointed.

Thanks to all of you that made our trip to Duluth in March the most enjoyable road trip we've ever taken and doing a great job recommending accommodations and places to eat.

A big shout out, too, to biddco, who is one of the better posters in the forum. The "I just had sex" video was hilarious.

Our new conference is so tough, the 4th place team in it won the title. Not a back-handed compliment. The truth. If North Dakota fan, Denver fan, and, in particular, UNO fan don't feel a little bit better about their seasons tonight, they're nuts.

Looking forward to UMD's First visit to Omaha in over a decade this upcoming season.

I think UMD showed they weren't a one-trick pony last night. How many people would have predicted UMD would win last night had they known in advance the PP would go 1-9 and the top line wouldn't score a goal?

Again, great job and congrats to UMD and the fans.

Still in awe and shock!!! It was a fantastic game last night a the X, great crowd, excellent performances by both teams-- a night I will never ever forget! For those long time Bulldogs fans who can still remember the heartache you felt after the multiple OT loss to Bowling Green in the 1985 championship (I was 10 years old) this win is a long, long time coming! This is great for Duluth and Northern MN! So nice to see Derek Plante out there with a huge smile on his face too.

Way to go Dogs!! This is a great milestone for a phenominal program with lots of history and NOW a National Title. Congrats to Sandelin and the team!

I love your forwards in both zones and love love your power play, that slot play is awesome. congrats on the big NC, good for college hockey for a team to win their first.

Agreed, There's nothing quite like being there when your college team wins it all. Edge of your seat, hell, on your feet, and heart in your throat because Winning it all and going home disappointed still hang in the balance. Nothing like it with Pro sports. College teams can't move to another state, and odds are most of you have spent a few years at said fine institution, so you have a little more involvement with that team, especially when the school sends out mailers to all the alumni asking for donations.

The Fugly ones with the Block M on them are on their way to Africa now. ;)
