I thought UMD played very well this weekend. It was kind of what I expected from the 'Dogs through much of the second half, and maybe they actually were improved, but the strength of the league disguised that in may weeks. Anyway, IMO UMD has nothing to apologize for at the WCHA Finals.

I disagree with that. Wisconsin loses Knight, Bro. Ammerman, Prévost, and Haverstock; the first three plus Decker were the source of most of their offense. Minnesota loses a lot as well: Erickson, Schoullis, and West up front, Schleper and Seeler on the blue line. Both have new talent coming in, but as UMD fans saw this year, new stars require some patience.MN, ND and WI do not seem to be losing as much.
