Yeah, amazing job by this coaching staff, and by the players for stepping up into the holes that were opened up by graduation and by early departures. I don't think any of us would have seen this, 14-3-3 at this point? No way.Congrats Riverhawks....despite losing all those players (and arguably the best goalie in college hockey) there hasn't been a drop-off. Good recruiting, good coaching and good leadership from the Seniors.

It gets a lot tougher now though. Only 6 home games of the remaining 14. Games still left against current #2 in Hockey East (BU X2), #3 UVM (both at home), #4 PC (x2), 1 against #6 BC (road) and 2 more against a tough Merrimack team.
Congrats to Dylan Zink.

Coming into the season without a goalie who had played a minute of college hockey.
This "fact" is about as real as Manti Teo's girlfriend.
Boyle played quite a bit at Umass prior to transferring, 41 games over two seasons according to his UML bio.
Thanks for clearing that up for me Fredo, but like Manti says, it's time to find a new joke. Neri has the boat ready, by the way.
I should have said goalies who had not played a minute for UML. And none of this changes how impressive UML has been.

I know my River Hawks have a small window of recent success with a couple other good seasons so I don't want to sound arrogant but in truth, NDHockey was right. Tending goal for UMass Amherst is NOT playing college hockey. Maybe a low tier D-III.
We'll have to give Jon Quick the bad news
