The only reason we've adopted this wholesale is to absolve ourselves about not caring. Gotta show how much we care by upping the ante?

As for costs... How much does it cost for alternative skating locations while doing the resurfacing, gallons of water, how many gallons of paint, etc.

Do they have to re-lay down all the sponsor, league, and team artwork?

The real question is how much does it cost as a marketing gimmick? Butts in seats... Pink jerseys, after all, is nothing new

I'm heading down to NU this weekend. $15 for parking is kinda steep, but I'll take it after walking through the shady areas around Ruggles last year. Yikes!

According to this link, they can just paint the ice on top. It doesn't specifically say if the logos are still visible but I can't see them doing it if they weren't.

They do a pink wash and that just scrapes off afterwards. Does not necessitate any repainting. Simple. Very cheap. big splash.

Well, I'm pretty sure this won't help Lowell, as BC should be pretty hyped up for this game.

I got an email about saturday's game. It said we are ranked 12th but when I looked at the uscho poll it says we are 15tth. Which one is correct.

We 15 on USCHO, 12 on USAToday/Hockeymag.

I'd say the 12 is correct but my opionion don't mean squat. :)

There's free parking at Northeastern. Just turn on Columbus instead of St. Botolph - you turn in where there's a parking structure, but go right instead of into structure - go as far as you can into the parking lot as the walkway over the train tracks is at the far end. Note - not sure the walkway is accessible (has stairs); don't think it is, but could be wrong. You can then enter through the back of Matthews (red door).

Hockey East just announced that the game at BC on February 8 will be televised by NESN.

I think that was on a NESN crawl line earlier this month too, along with the rest of the NESN schedule. Very cool.

Key notes (that I took out of it):
Hockey has been the highest ranking male team academically over the past six years (love hearing that).
He had some very good words for Shayne Thompson (when specifically asked about him).
