The funny part about that...the tear they have been on to make sure that didn't happen has been truly remarkable.

I don't think we've ever been in first (either tied or sole) in the month of March with the current format.

By memory, I think the last non-"Big Four" team that had a chance to win the HE RS title outright were the Northeastern Huskies in 2009 :eek:. They had to beat BU in the final series of the regular season. We know the ending to that one...:rolleyes:

Something tells me we are going to be a little higher than #12 tomorrow :D :p

The view from the penthouse is pretty :cool:. Still a lot of business to finish next weekend against another difficult opponent.

Let's us focus on us and Friday Scenarios...somebody check the math.

All scenarios require a UML win; else Saturday really comes into play with a tie and especially, a loss.

Win over PC = 3rd place (UML = 34 ; PC MAX = 32; BU MAX = 32)
Win over PC + UVM point + UNH win = 2nd place (BC MAX = 33 ; UML = 34; UNH MAX = 35)
Win over PC + UVM point + UNH tie = Share of 1st place (BC MAX = 33; UML = 34; UNH MAX = 34)
Win over PC + UVM point + UNH loss = 2013 HE Regular Season Champions (BC MAX = 33, UNH MAX = 33; UML = 34)

Bob and Chaz were joking about that on the radio post-game.

Something to the effect of "Well, it used to be that if you were trying to find Lowell in the HE standings, you'd start looking from the bottom and move your eyes up slowly." Now ... "You'd wonder if they aren't in Hockey East anymore, until you got to the top" ... and I added "and thought it was a typo."

Have I said today how much fun this is? :D

One of the funniest things about this weekend, at least from a Lowell perspective ...

Lowell had more empty net goals this weekend than Merrimack had regular goals. :D

Tied for 4th in the PWR now...
