Northeastern beat BU last night. They did an incredible job packing it in and forcing BU to outside chances that could be blocked.

And that's why on any given night even the best record wise get handed a L....no easy games from here on in...this could be a difficult weekend for Maine....but with the bye week in play you can bet Barr has the team prepared...now if that can spell out on the ice...bottom line: That's Hockey...

Every night for the next 12 games is a dog fight, right. If Maine wins 50% down the stretch here Im ok with that but disappointed, anything worse is just a total collapse. Winning 9 out of the 12 is possible but HE is tough this year up and down the rankings so I understand if they dont. Going 12 and 0 is outside of my current ability to process this possibility.

I would be disappointed with 0.500 down the stretch. They have 6 left at home and I would be incredibly disappointed if they lost more than one or two of those after a 8-0-2 start in home games. The road series are always tough but at least get the split.

Barr extended, details to come.

"The new agreement will retroactively run from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2028 and will replace Barr's current contract. Barr will earn a salary of $425,000 in 2024-2025 with an annual increase of $15,000 through 2028."

Very happy to see that after the Vachon extension that Maine didn't fool around and wait to get Barr done as well!

So it’s going to end halfway through a season/FY? Hopefully there is some favorable buyout language for Maine in case he does leave.

I wonder how Jude sold this to the academic folks? It seems like he has done a good job so far.

Great accomplishment!! This must make him the highest paid public employee in the state. In the final year at $470K, this should put him in the top group of Hockey East coaching salaries.

I think he is still in the bottom half and potentially even in the bottom quartile. Brown, Pandolfo, Cavanaugh, Leaman, Bazin, and Carvel are all making big bucks. Not sure about O’Keefe and Borek. Barr is definitely making more than Souza and UVM coach.
