I was there, and what a game. Frank Doyle saved the bacon. Right up there with the 93 NC game in terms of great Maine comebacks.
Even sweeter was beating them...and Harvard thought they had it...so nice to burst that dream.

I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned that Maine’s only shut out came when Maine played a whole game with Scott centering the Nadeaus (granted, Maine’s only 5-goal, come-from-behind period was with this condition).
alao, the Boija fans have quieted down…thoughts?
Boija has played a couple games , still think he looks pretty good for the sample size. No doubt goaltending is suspect at times.I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned that Maine’s only shut out came when Maine played a whole game with Scott centering the Nadeaus (granted, Maine’s only 5-goal, come-from-behind period was with this condition).

Not sure what to think about Nadeaus and who centers them. I’d think Breen will be back on Friday. Size and physicality seem to be an issue for Maine. Most of us thought it would be an issue with the brothers and other younger players. I expect Lowell will try to push Maine around and sit on blue line to keep Maine from coming in zone easily.
My thought is that Ben needs to recruit an elite goalie. That's the only missing piece.
Neither goalie for Maine was very strong this weekend but both were decent enough. Not time to give up on either goalie, they’ve both been pretty good. They should continue to platoon until one guy separates.
I feel for Ostman since it seems like he’s been fighting it. With Boija, there is a lot of talent but he needs to be polished. Goalie competitions usually work out well so let’s hope both guys continue to push the other.
Boija definitely didn't look as sharp, but when the boys score 0 goals I guess it doesn't matter. For now, keep the competition open until somebody takes the job.
Yep. Platoon em!
if any of you can watch replays of games, you might wanna watch this weekend’s BU-UNH game. Hellsten was incredible. And that sucks because i already bought tix to see Maine sweep at the Whitt next month.
Would be happy with a split there!

Been checking the UMAINE roster site...still no Jack Walton mentioned(?)...don't tell me this needs to be ok'd by the NC$$..?...figured some type of announcement would have been made this weekend during the games broadcast out of CT....wonder if on Campus and practicing.
